"Nuts!" He gives Sam a teasing grin.

"Soon as they build something that can deliver chocolates, watch movies with them AND mow the lawn, we're gone" Zane mock angsts.

Snort-grin.

"Oh, it might need to do just a little more than that.... " he smirks.

"Oh, god. Boys."

Zane grins

Adam is grinning unrepentantly at her.

"Arrrgh."

Adam gives her shoulder a little push and turns into the Lodge parking lot.

"Okay, Chief has business for part of the afternoon - my job is to show you the basics. How to interact with Stormwake, and how to gear him up and take care of him after..."

*bzzzt* Sam's phone buzzes

"Sure, that sounds great!"

Zane comes out as curious about horses as anyone

She checks her phone as they head to the paddock.

🕷️ Hey, you think someone from the lodge would be up for a field trip? Need a car.

bzzt We were gonna do horse stuff. What's up?

🕷️ I need to buy bean buns for a broom goblin.

Zane is nosey "Who is it?"

Blink.

bzzt What now?

"Okay, sounds like Symon has an emergency. Can we do a brief field trip?"

🕷️ There's an H Mart over in yonkers that has korean stuff. Gotta get some bribes til AM is back on her feet.

"Don't look at me, I'm just bumming rides off friends" Zane grins and looks to Adam

"You have the car. So it's your call."

"Anything you want, Sam." With a fond smile.

"Alright. Bean buns it is." She texts back to let Symon know they're coming.

"Bean Buns? " A blink "Wow, even our car rides are weird"

"...for a Broom Goblin."

"And weirder still"

"Listen, I just read what he sent."

(Didn't want to jump the gun!) He is waiting out in front of the house when they arrive, but looks a little surprised to see Adam's car.

"Bean buns? Is that a nickname?" Adam laughs as they get to Symon's.

"It is now" Zane grins

"They're a food? He said they're a bribe..."

"For a what, now?"

Zane hops out of the car when they stop "Hey, Beanbunboy, your ride is here"

He climbs in, giving Zane a welcome nod. "You coming along? Hey Adam - thanks, Dags. I thought maybe you'd ping Siv - couldn't get an answer. She out on that boat again?"

And then he stops and gives Zane a look, parsing. "...what now?"

"-Symon- is bean buns? I'm hurt...."

"New nickname we're trying out, probably wont' stick." Zane assures

"Symon is most certainly not. Just saying, between a Boggan stepmom and sluagh secret digging, there's got to be some terrible nickname in your past..." Eyeing Zane.

"She's out doing boat things, yeah. Adam agreed to drive. What's a broom goblin?"

Zane smirks "Nope. I'm invulnerable"

"It's a dokkaebi - old country-style sprite, except instead of making shoes at night, they sometimes help around the house, and sometimes play pranks. Or burn things down. I figure it's better to keep him on my side, but the dumb thing is an extortionist." Giving directions to the H Mart

"Sounds kind of cool..except the arson part" Zane says as they drive

"So he wants bean buns? I mean, could be worse..."

"Bean buns are pretty great. Sometimes they make them in a mold so they look like fish. I think you'd like them." Flicking through his wallet to count the allowance within. "And luckily pretty cheap if you go to the korean market. I think I got enough to get a few extras - or gas money if you prefer." To Adam.

Adam takes them to H Mart.

"Like... what kind of beans?"

"Red beans. Uh, I don't know if they have an english name. Adzuki, or chapssaltteok. They're sweet, with kinda a chocolatey-type texture."
