"Uh." Blink. "Well..... s'fun. And, you know...."

"What if she falls in love and you want another?" Curious tilt searching "What if you make her think it's more? or could be more, then you go after another girl? "

"Well, you know, if we're both interested then I guess we'd talk about it and stuff. I don't mind, you know, being exclusive. And one day I'll be in love."

"Huh... for a moment I thought you had goat horns" She nods, "kay. Sorry about the 8 legs."

"What 8 legs?" A little forcefully.

She makes a dribbling motion.

Adam shakes his head; he doesn't understand.

She holds up a finger, pulls out a coin, and then shakes it between her hands. Then offers him a chance to pray her hands open.

Confused, Adam does so.

The spider leaps for his face, the same one that the basketball turned into!

"Aaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!" He yells, startled, and swats it away.

Andi t's gone

He reaches for his stick.

He looks for it to slam it into next week.

Only there's nothing but a coin on the ground.

And the pooka

"What the FUCK!?!?!" He demands of her.

She raises a brow, "Sharing is caring" A shrug "Also "And as a troll it's what I do"

Then she quiets as Adam's voice raise has drawn attention.

"THAT WAS YOU!?!?!" Furious.

"Everything okay?" Merle comes up.

"Me what?" Innocent look from the serpent girl, "Merle, I think he's on the crack."

Adam turns away, slapping the stick into a wall instead. He stalks off.

"I don't think so Eden," Merle laughs, "He's not that crack type"

Ezra walks up towards Adam even as he's going "All good? I heard yelling... "

Adam is walking away, tense.

"Dude?" Ezra follows "What is up?"

"I got it, Ezra. He's my ride," Zane intrudes

Adam is heading for the car.

Zane raises to catch up, and being a satyr succeeds, "Adam. What's wrong?"

"That girl, she .... she made me think.... or she actually turned my basketball into a spider, man." Sulking, pride hurt. "Like, real close to when I met Symon and Dirk and Sam and Siv and all. Startled me bad, made me think...."

Zane says "Hey eays man, we've all been pranked by pooka...it's what they do so.. did she apologize?" He asks

"I don't know!"

"Oh yeah.. shit man, I'm sorry. With that book I thought you knew more than most , but maybe I should fill you you more."

"I don't -have- any book." Frustrated.

"See, Pooka? They lie. They can't help it. So even when they want you to understand? It's hard. They exaggerate, or say what they don't mean..."

"Sometimes it's reverse talk but most can't keep that up for long...because it's too easy to tell what they mean. It's their curse" He says "So... not sure what she said to you or about you but.. I can see why you'd be frustrated."

"Are ALL of you cursed? What's your curse??"

"Let's get in the car. I'll tell you while we drive through a drive through. My treat"

Adam doesn't respond immediately. "You don't want to hang here with your guys? Maybe one of them could give you a ride home, if you wanted to stay?"

"Shouldn't let me spoil a good time."

"Adam... I said I'd help right? Dagmar and I both are trying to ease you in, but for us this is al so.. who we are, that it's easy to forget you've got one armed tied behind your back"

"Don't need you to buy me a burger, Zane. I'm a big boy. I don't want to get in the way of your Friday night. Your friends are pretty cool, you should go hang out."

"Death before Dishonor" he smiles, "I'm Seelie dude."

"What dishonor?" Confused.

"I said I'd help teach you. Integrity is a part of honor"

"Well yeah, but it doesn't have to be right now, or tonight, does it? I mean, yeah, sure, let's hang out and you can tell me more but....."

"Hey, if you want to be alone right now, just say so and I'll back off... but otherwise I really don't mind. Heck, what I'd like to go is get you and Eden together and see if we could clear.." He looks back.

Eden is gone.

A shrug. "Up to you."
