"Hey, they got all over the place," Sylvi says, then she pauses. "Wow, that just made them sound like vermin. NOT what I meant."

May snickers

"Ha!"

"We get what you meant, Sylvia" Siv grins

"Like, Greenland complaining to Iceland - 'Bro, I got'm!' - right?"

"Oh, eww! That makes it sound worse!"

Sylvi is laughing, though.

"And Greenland has little spears all sticking out on the map..."

Giggles!!!

Siv snerks

"Oh, man, and I just thought about what Norway looks like, and...." She's lost in giggles again.

"Sylvi!" PURPLE.

"I mean...that whole area...." And she makes a limp droop with her arm, giggling again.

And a snort-snerk that is her trying not to laugh.

Trying and failing.

May breaks into a full laugh first.

Oh dear...now the laughter is the kind that is contagious and regenerating.....

And Siv has lost it too

Sylvi makes a valiant effort to catch her breath and stop....almost got it....

Is she giggling at the joke, or laughing at her friends' laughter? Maybe it doesn't matter.

Nope, she caught sight of her friends' flushed faces, and she's off again!

It so totally doesn't matter....

And neither does the stares they might or might be getting. Being cool? doesn't matter.

Oh, this is a different kind of cool. People probably wish they knew what was so funny. And if they're very, very lucky, more will catch the giggles....

A year ago, this wouldn't have happened. Two years... doesn't even bear thinking. But today, Sam laughs with her friends.

But Sylvi isn't thinking about that. She's just trying to breathe, now.

"Ooo..." Siv is trying much the same "Oh gosh.. the next time mom talks about being from Norway, when I laugh..she's..heh heh not going to understand"

"Ha! Nope!"

"Oh...oh no! Oh, I'm not going to be able to un-think that, ever!"

May is red as a beat

"Yeah, I'm gonna do my best to keep a straight face in front of Aunt Brekke..."

"you guys are crazy" May says but smiles

"Okay, so. We get the hair stuff from Sally's, and we video this weekend. Plan?"

May nods "Plan"

"SOunds good" Siv agrees

"Such a plan. BUT....I do have to be away on Sunday, so we do it Saturday, okay?"

"Sure thing"

"Um...where? Can't do it at my place." Sylvi points out. She shouldn't have to point out to Sam and Siv why.

"my folks might be okay with it. We have a guest room that never get used and it has this sit down mirror and thing" May says

"Well, ask. If not, there's my room. Odin WILL have opinions, though."

"It sounds perfect, May! I hope they say yes. Odin doesn't get to guest star, this time."

"Ah, but he'd make a great mascot.. all judgmental of your efforts" Siv says

"He's very handsome and has excellent taste."

"Nice, just what I need...a one-eyed critic."

And then.. the bell rings, tryant that it is..

"Shoot..." May says "I was having fun"

Sylvi checks her make-up quickly, repairing any damage from that tear-inducing giggle fit.

"Yeah... see you in English, yeah?"
