"Oh shit, Art. YOu should rest up... that looks painful"

"But. BUT! It worked!" He GRINS. "Did you know that could be done? I didn't! Now I do!"

"Seriously, for a genius you can be so dumb! No, I didn't know it could be done, and now you look like you got whacked upside the head by a two by four."

His free hand presses his temples. "Maybe I should sit down."

Grumble-steer, by the elbows.

"idjit."

"But I didn't get to the rest of the story yet..." Plaintive.

"Tomorrow."

A glance at Gwen, pleading for her to be more reasonable.

"YOU are going to BED, because you have the common sense of a crayon-eating first grader."

"It can wait, Art. Just don't forget." A smile

Citrine gives a yawn that cracks her tiny jaw and buzzes sleepily down to curl up on Ivan. Zzzzz

"And KNOCK next time"

"There are little Trolls knocking inside my head. With hammers." He says, and sighs. "Tomorrow. And I will knock." He hasn't released Thistle's hand, and is drawn away.

She hauls him off to his room.

"Thanks" She says, then pets her dog, a mix of hope and concern on her face.

Gwen's door closes, and she sees no more. Though it is maybe a few minutes before she hears doors close in the hallway, indicating that perhaps, even with a headache, there is some lingering together between Squire and Innovator before they go to their respective beds. 😘
