Thistle likes to sketch in the library. She claims that it is because her studio gets dusty from the clay. Or that she needs to keep an eye on Fornax. That her sketching sessions happen to coincide with Art's visits is likely pure happenstance. Except, perhaps, her oh so carefully constructed plausible deniability shouldn't be denied anymore? Oh, farksnoggle.

(She also makes sure that he is supplied with snacks and (covered) beverages.)

The Baroness, of course, visits the library from time to time. It's possible this might disrupt the serenity that is a nocker's inner self

Nadeen enters in, and carrying a book in her hand, returns it to its proper space

The nocker may or may not actually notice her. She seems absorbed, pen scratching away.

She puts the book away ,then surveys the others. A pause "Has the Squire changed the indexing?"

"Buh?" Blink, blink. "Um. We're on Dewey?"

" I had thought so but.. .mm" She pulls out a book "Ah, an Astrology in the Astronomy section."

"He wouldn't misplace one." Oh-ho, defensive.

"Then who did?" She says, a curious tilt to her head

She notices the defensiveness. Trained by Brekke and Kerri as much as anyone, she's gained insight into being patient with one's subordinates. Of course, Brekke and Kerri would shudder at the term Subordinate, which is why trolls CAN make decent leaders, but tend to be a bit blind to power dynamics as a rule.

"I don't know, I'm not the boss of the library."

"Clearly not," Nadeen nods "Though you have been spending a great deal more time here of late. It is peaceful though, so who can blame you." She moves the book the proper section

Nadeen sees a faint sprinkle here and there of Never glitter, but that’s not unusual.

A thought "Ah, perhaps the nevers are 'helping' with the book placement, that would explain much" She opens the boo kshe took out to make sure one of the poor creatures hasn't gotten trapped in it

"The light's pretty good."

No, but there is the occasional dust bunny signs- both living paw prints and fluff, and one flattened remnant of a foot sticking out from under a big stack of reference bonds bond that don’t look up have been moved in ages. clearlyMarigold doesn’t make it down the twisty stairs here.

"Yes, yes it is," The sidhe has a sad look though "I'll have to have Flo dust this area though. Looks like we're getting dust bunnies. Such chimera are not entirely harmless."

"They aren't? they don't seem bad. Smarter than the flitterigibbets."

"They can be unhealthy to those with breathing difficulties and other health risks, and they've been known to align with certain... questionable powers. "

"Oh - creepy crawlies? Don't think any of'm ever come here."

"Some do, and if they come through the proper channels like anyone else, they'll receive haven. I am away not everyone has my House's understanding. Regardless, Dust Bunnies are not welcome here. If need be, I'll dictum them out later."

"Oh."

"They're kinda cute."

A brow lift, "Dust isn't normally attractive to most people. Is there something in their chimerical nature that appeals to you beyond the 'cute'? Have they a use?"

"Do the Nevers?"

"Well, the Nevers are more pleasing to the eye. And they thrive in cleaner environments. Dust Bunnies collect in Dust and that's not a good environment, not healthy"

"As for use, YOU found some uses if I recall. Do you have any for dust bunnies?"

"Just... the nevers, and the mushroom folks, and the dust bunnies, and the brownies, and those little leaf-bug-guys and the butter-flies and the pinecone buddies... all of them, they're... I mean, that's the Dreaming, ain't it? What makes this world magical? It's not just the kithain."

"As a chimerical magnet, you've never seen the 'standard' amount of chimera in the area ,not for long. For the most part this is fine, but there's a reason cleanliness is pursued. You have met Hearh Ke.. pardon me, Chief Kerri, yes?"

She scrunches her face and slowly nods. "She was at Pennons."

"YOu'll find her lodge Dust Bunny Free. She doesn't like dust or dust bunnies either." Nadeen explains "And for good reasons."

"Okay. So... what? You want dust bunny traps?"

"No need, like I said I can just exile them via Dictum" Nadeen waves off the offer, "I need to have flo handle the removal of the regular dust, of course."

An idea occurs to her , "Mmmph, are you truly concerned with the well being of these Dust Bunnies? "

"It occurs to me that, in the interest of peace, and because sluagh like the things, I could have the Dust Bunnies contained as you mentioned, and then given to one of the local sluagh. Would this sit better with your concerns than banishing the Dust Bunnies out into the cold?"

She bites on her lip, and then nods. "We have a few in town, they could take care of them."

"Lizbet might be open to the idea... as might Mr. Abernathy, true" SHe knows their names "We shan't force the things upon them, of course, But a polite offer will go a long way I suspect. If they both refuse, well, the Dust Bunnies still have to go"

"I just don't... I don't like killing chimera, s'all."

"I was thinking banishment, Chief Innovator, not destruction" She says "And, I was thinking of Marigold"

"I don't want to stress out Marigold, either, no."

"I know, and I worry she'll blame herself when she learns of Dustbunnies in the house. Fortunately I have Flo to assist her, and Madern, but ... Marigold is proud, rightly so."

"I'll make a good trap."

"I know you will, and ... if you have other ideas, how Dust Bunnies can be useful or some such, let me know. I'm not an unreasonable liege, I hope," She gives a graceful shrug "And the Baron also recognizes your intellect and talent. We would be foolish not to value it"

"I will contemplate on practical applications."

"I thank you" She says "Is there anything you would advise in the here and now?"

"Um."

A long wait, then "Um?""
