After a few moments of silence, the door creaks open just a crack. A pair of sharp, scrutinizing eyes peek through the gap, taking in Madern with a mixture of suspicion and curiosity.
"Hah! Bold farkakte claim, kid. But if you’re here to talk cookies, you can take your tuches and trot right outta here."
The door swings open a bit wider, revealing Grimwald Gearwright, a grizzled and cantankerous Nocker with wild, unkempt hair and a perpetually sour expression. He’s dressed in a patchwork of worn overalls and a grease-stained shirt, with tools hanging from every pocket.
"If you’re here for something with some teeth, like real work, maybe you’re worth a slice of my time. Now, get your skinny keister in here and close the door before the nosy nudniks in the neighborhood start thinking I’m running a free-for-all."
With that, Grimwald turns and walks deeper into his cluttered, workshop-like home, leaving the door open just enough for Madern to follow.
