Once Madern finds a quiet spot, he pulls out the notebook and carefully opens it, feeling a faint, lingering trace of Glamour. The pages appear blank at first, but as he focuses, the faint chimerical writing begins to reveal itself.
To mortal eyes, it looks like just another simple notepad - pages blank. But to the view of a kithain, the writing is clear as day.
The text is densely packed with technical jargon, diagrams, and notes. It’s mostly a mix of high-tech schematics and arcane formulas - it has an aesthetic that reminds him of blueprints he's seen in Wudlig's workshop, arts blossoming under Thistle's hands, or even the notes scattered about Willie's workshop.
Most of it is complex gibberish to him. The dense technical jargon and specific intricacies go over his head.
However, it's not ALL technical mumbo-jumbo. A bit of studying, and he can pick out some of the more intriguing details—a list of components, some of which are circled or marked with notes about scarcity or potential substitutes.
There are also a few personal notes, hints of frustration at equipment malfunctions, complaints about unreliable suppliers, and cryptic references to something called “The Aetheric Resonator", and etched in the front inside cover of the chimerical leather of the book jacket - Property of Dario Quantumforge - keep your furkin' hands off!
