"Mold. Frame, impress, model, shape." The draconet bobs his head.

Art chuckles. "I think that is more correct, yes. Willy has the materials, and asks that you attend her in the workings."

"Willies. Apprehension, angst, dread, jitters. Creeps!"

Art blinks a few times, then has to cover up a sputter of laughter. "Maybe leave Fornax here."

Snicker.

"She does give me that. Makers mark or not, y'know?"

"Try not to let her intimidate you. Remember, you have your own mark now, same as her! Though she does have a edge on you in experience."

"I know, it is easy for me to say. I am not the one working with her." A grin.

"Right, you have to work with the baron."

"I might have the easier deal."

"I will be starting sword-fighting lessons with a Knight of House Liam, though. I forgot to ask Gladiola about him. I understand they are acquaintances."

"Yeah?"

"That might be fun. Danica's said she'll help me figure out targets with the flamethrower."

"I visited Sir Vali at his home manor. They call it a Lodge... Gladiola or the Thanes would be quite at home there. I felt... very small." He takes a few moments to tell her about the manor at River Vale - describing the carved wooden adornments in particular as impressive.

"....and self-defense. (*^^%$, I forgot I had those lessons too."

"Hand-carved, you think? It sounds pretty."

He chuckles. "I had somehow convinced myself that once we were Sained, we would be through with all of the lessons. Little did we know they had only just begun..."

"Right? But.... you get to Stay."

"That's what matters most, right?"

"Right!" He grins.

"Have you been to look at the horses again? It may not be too late for you to take up caring for the birds with me."

"I could try the birds... I dunno..."

"What if I made a mechanical horse? Think the Baron would buy it?"

"A mechanical horse? Can you DO that?" Then, he looks over at where Citrine is sitting on a shelf, distracted for a time with some shiny beads. "Of course you could. I wonder if he would lend you a horse as a starting model."

"Don't see why not. Bipdeal walking is one thing, but perambulating on four legs?"

“Why stop at four? I have heard that six is a possibility.”

"That goes more insectoid."

"While cool, well... better to go to eight, for the Odin horse maybe?"

“You might as well start with two horses then, and save time.”

"Point. I wish Muppet counted."

The glennie lifts his head from his paws at the sound of his name.

“I get the feeling that he may want us to learn about the responsibilities of animal husbandry as much as how to work the animals themselves. In case you might wonder if the mews are less work than the stables in that… let me just say, the raptor’s dung makes up for in… hostility- what it may lack in quantity.”

Nose-wrinkle.

"I might be more willing to give the birds a try if it wasn't for Blossom. She's a prat."

“She is… very certain of her own importance.” He allows, “but I must admit that she is skilled with the birds.”

"She is, fine. But... OY."

“Understood. Do you think I can help with your molds? Or would I be in the way? I am feeling a little… at loose ends, with everyone working for the upcoming event but am not sure where I can lend a hand.”

"Sure. You can hang out and keep the Nevers off."

“I wonder if a mock owl would work, like some mortal buildings put up against pigeons.”

"They like Skittles. Bribery works."

“What happens if they drop a skittle into the molten metal?” Curious.

"Probably something bad."

“Is it bad that now I want to find out?

"....no..."

He gives her a grin. "Maybe we can experiment! My thoughts are that it would just burn off... but with chimerical metals, who knows?"

"Right? Maybe we could get iridescents...."

"Where do you draw the line between a metal contaminant and an additive?" He asks, and settles in for what might be a long answer.

"Now that's an interesting question...." She lights up, prepared to speculate.
