"You realize I am one of those Seelie folk." He says, not unamused.

"For now, sure" A nod "But when the samhain revelries begin, you'll be a bit less dorky I bet"

He looks a bit offended. "Am I terribly dorky? I thought I was getting better."

"Well, you're less dorky than you were" She admits "Saining really worked for you. "

A small smile. "Well, thank you. If you see Thistle, tell her I am looking for her?"

"Sure. Did you try texting her?"

He blinks. "No..."

"But I am sure I will find her soon." A smile.

He waves, and heads towards the kennels.

"Let's get down to business, you guys." Gwen says "I will not have slackers, no limp tailed efforts here." She has the dogs lined up "We have a chance, a real chance, to bring glory. Now this sport was made for German Shepherds, but they haven't meet your breed."

Ivan especially stands resolute

"Dame Gladiola, do you have a moment?"

"mm" A look "At ease" then she turns to the Squire "I tell you something, I love the smell of Dog fur and slobber in the morning. Smells like.. victory" deadpan "What can I do for you, Arthur?"

Art considers, but decides not to share his thoughts on the smell of Dog. "Lord Aiden has tasked me with helping with the award medallions for the event. For the canine competitions, I was thinking a paw-shaped medal? Perhaps Thistle can create a mold from one of the hounds. Unless you have another idea."

"I think that's awesome. Mind you, unless you want BIG Medas, one of the glennies might make a better paw print" She ponders "How big are you wanting them?"

He shows a size using his hands, definitely smaller than Ivan's massive feet.

"Yup. I'd go with Muppet. "

"I thought that, or one of the wolfhounds." He nods.

A consideration "Oh, mmm well ,not muchs maller there but Fort's paw might be more personal. he is the baron's favorite, you know?"

"I thought you were not supposed to have favorites." He says, glancing at Ivan with a small grin.

A low whisper "First rule of being a dog person, you'll always have a least one favorite. You just can't let the bias keep you from being good to all dogs"

He chuckles. “I shall have to figure out which of the raptors has earned Blossom’s favor.”

"Oh? mm how is hawking going for you?"

“It is interesting. I hope that by observing the mechanics of bird flight I might better understand Fornax.”

"But you're not really attached to any particular bird yet yourself?"

“I have flown Aura, she is a beautiful bird. However I am not certain that I have a passion for the art.”

“Not as you clearly do for your charges.”

"Mm well, I hope one day you find a pet, an animal that even if you're not a dog person, you like 'this ' dog, or even if you're not a cat peson you like 'that cat'. It's...it's nice to have a friend, a companion, that makes you feel like you're not judged. "

He grins. “That IS how I feel about a good book.”

A chuckle "Explains a lot. Okay. Fair. But hey, some pets sit in your lap while you read. Not so bad. Course Fonrax is your reading buddy now"

“That is right. He is picking it up really quickly… but I think he still likes being read to. When he has his own book, if I am reading something else, he will come over and want to see mine instead.”

A smile "That's kind of sweet really. "

He grins. "Until he is sitting on the page I wish to read. Thanks for the suggestions! I will look for Muppet."

"Sure thing" A nod "I'd love to chat more but I get our big guys back to practice"

He nods and circles back around to check the Studio for Thistle.

Thistle is 'home' - in her apron, with mud up to her elbows as she works.

Fornax is on a nearby countertop, watching her intently.

"Thistle?" Art calls first, then knocks on the door. "Am I interrupting your work?"

She looks up, and flashes a mouthful of sharp teeth in a grin. "Hey! Nah!"

"I brought a request from the Baron. Do you have some time to help out before the event?"

"Probably? Depends."

He offers over a small stack of papers. "He is seeking medallions for the winners of the events. A horseshoe, a feather, and a paw-print for the relevant beasts, but he wants them cast in precious metals. Willy has access to the supplies for the casting, but are you able to make the molds?"

She squints, then nods. "Yeah, I can do that."

"Three medallions each, y'think?"

"These feathers are... gyrfalcon I think, or maybe one of the hawks? They are from Blossom. Dee can give you a spare horseshoe, if needed, as a model, and Gwen suggested using Muppet for a paw print. Of course, the actual medallions will need to be small enough to string on a ribbon." He consults the paper and nods. "Silver, Gold, and Bronze. Have you ever cast chimerical metal? I wonder if it has the same properties as the Mortal equivalent." Art muses.

"I've cast pewter..."

"I mean, heat it up, pour it in... but multiple casts per mold, not not lost wax, nah...."

"Cast. Hurl, fling, lob, yeet?" Fornax peeps, his eyes gleaming with curiousity.

Snort. "Hopefully not yeeting."

"And it's cast like... pour? A mold?"
