His gaze softens imperceptively, he doesn't seem aware of how it changes as he senses his lady’s proximity. Though Lavender may get a glimpse.

"Bad timing on my part?" Nadeen is not only done with her college class ,she has changed into a riding outfit. One that contours tightly to her frame yet is tasteful. And the boots are ...very nice. She is possibly unaware how good she looks to a lover of equestrianism like her consort. Then again, she might be well aware. "I had to fight with the program the administration wanted us to use instead of the old one and got so frustrated that I thought I'd treat myself to a ride"

Again that pleased glimmer. Oh yes, the lady has a weakness for poetry, "So what show is going on?"

"Shall I repeat what I said to you to her for her purusual my liege, or would you like to take it from here perhaps while you ride with the baroness? " The satyr asks, and yes, the horses are all groomed, tended, from mane to hoof to tail

He smiles. “Allow me the pleasure, though you may retain credit.” Taking the reins of two horses that haven't been ridden that day, and are nosing eagerly at the latches.

“Shall you ride Joker today? I will take Etheglin.” The spirited no-longer-colt for hee, and a feisty mare for himself.

Lavender bows to both and helps with joker when Nadeen nods "Joker is a fine frolicsome fellow"

And Nadeen mounts when Aiden does and says "I am now bursting with curiosity"

Soon he is waving farewell to Lavender, and they are on a gentle pace down one of their favored trails.

Once they turn a corner and the stables are left behind, he shares the news - the invitation from Cavalier's Quarterly, the possible Appaloosa and Morgan lines, and Lavender's suggestion for hosting pennons.

"Do tell?" He asks, courteously stopping so that Nadeen may go first to jump over a small downed tree.

And Joker jumps enjoying the play, though he makes a bit of a abrupt hip move to see if she's paying attention

Normally he would over take her and Joker. His mount has greater stamina, and he is the better rider. However as she passes under some trees and shadow hits the animal, where the shadow lays, Joker becomes harder to see, borderline invisible , but only where trhe shadow touches.. and of course, Nadeen stays quite visible, but it's enough to slow his pace just for a second letting Nadeen and Joker hold onto their lead. Indeed, Etheglin may protest a bit as she would rather win this if one doesn't mind?

He watches, first in consternation, then a moment of worry, and finally, realization. A laugh aloud. “A fine jest, Joker.”

Aidan nudges his mare, and the slight signal is all she needs to leap forward into the chase again. He’ll tell his lady about the ability that Joker is seeming to develop - but first, he must catch her!
