A message on the machine: "Sorry, I keep forgetting wifi doesn't work. Hope you get this mom. We're still on the island. There's a family reunion going on thanks to Art. Thistle was amazing! We're all all right and have won. Maybe here a few days more. Stuff to sort out but we've done a lot of good. Please tell the bosses we're fine. Love you always..oh put Ivan near the phone. HEY BOY, LOVE YOU, be back soon. You be good. Okay bye"

Rochallor stares at the machine as the red light blinks blinks blinks

Shiny, candy-red button

The light calls to him

"What's that, Joe? Don't be a weenie?" He asks the air

"Well, no you do it" Rochalor fusses

And presses it

BEEP! The message plays, and the light turns off.

Rochollar realizes the message wasn't for him, but he'll repeat it to Marigold later FAITHFULLY, like any pooka would "Gwen is cursed with Amnesia, they're frozen on the island with family because of Art. Thisle is grazing. They're all right but down to one. Gotten Dazed more. They're done for good. Please tell the bosses they're finely ground. Be good it's okay to die"

Pleased with himself, he trots off

Casimir observes this hold and looks troubled

He walks the ball room, seeing it empty for now, and wonders aloud "Where are the troubadours? One can understand the lack of a bard, but no troubadours? Does it even have a jester? No herald I know of. Fine thanes to be sure. Good knights, and yet...my daughter seems somewhat short changed of her due"

Bluebell looks up from where she was reading a book. “Art thou volunteering, your excellency?”

He turns, and raises a brow. He had not seen the pooka, "So, the Last Unicorn is right. MEn are fairy tales and books are read by rabbits"

"I would thank you not to share my words with my hosts, Good Pooka. In a past life I was a father and odd as it is, some of that lingers. One can hardly blame me for wanting the best for my daughter's upkeep"

“What are words, but a breeze that passes by, and ruffles not even a rabbit’s ears?” She bows.

“If it is a jest you seek, I might oblige. When is a door not a door?”

His brow knits and he thinks it over "I used to be good at these. A moment"

"When it's ajar?"

She claps, “Delightful! I’ll let Marigold know that the position has been filled.”

"What position?"

“Upright, and locked, as the plane is soon to land.”

"If you're not the jester you should be...they get to be mouthy" He huffs

Then he catches himself "I'm sorry, that was rude of me. But no one takes you SERIOUSLY when you're a childling. Not even pooka it seems"

Marigold’s voice is heard, it is raised, which seldom is the case. “I don’t care who you are, but I’ll tell you who I am, I am Head Steward of Silverwolf and Dame Gladiola’s MOTHER, and if you don’t get her, AND Thistle and Artie on the phone forthwith then I swear you’ll have more to deal with than just a “busy schedule”.”

"Oh my," He moves towards the sound of the voice

Bluebell BLINKS, and whispers, “I feel like someone is about to be sent to bed without supper. I hope it isn’t me.”

“Or Briar.” She adds, “I do not want her sleepwalking hungry.”

"Steward?" The boy says "You sound distressed"

She looks up from the telephone she was very nearly shouting into, and drops into a quick curtsy, one hand over the receiver. “My apologies, Count Casimir. I received a dreadful message from my Gwennie and I just can’t seem to get through to anyone who can find her.”

Marigold glares at the phone, and uncovers it. “Out? I’ll give you ‘out’, have someone FIND her!”

“Have you seen the Baron or Baroness about? Perhaps they can talk sense into these… Folk.”

"I shall seek Nadie. err the Baroness out" He says

“Oh, bless your heart.” She ends the call with a promise that she’ll be calling back.

Or maybe it was a threat?

The boy is gone...

but, apparently he found Nadeen, as she strides in, "My apologies, Steward. I was with the hawks"

The phone rings again (?)

Marigold was just explaining to Nadeen in a fuss that something is wrong with the questors, when the phone rings.

She answers it, “This had best be someone telling me that my daughter has been found.” On speaker phone.

"Mom. It's me, Gwen. What's wrong?"

A grateful look to Nadeen, as though her very presence has fixed things!

Marigold answers, “Oh, thank goodness. You’ve gotten over the Amnesia! Tell me that no one is hurt?”

(Somewhere Gwen keeps the phone positioned so Art and Thistle can hear it too or speak into it if they want)

Nadeen gives a graceful nod, first rule of rulership, if someone gives you credit for the good things, don't argue

"Amnesia? Mom, I've got no amnesia. We're fine, we're all fine. Didn't you get my message on the answering machine?" Gwen says

"...Amnesia?"

"Thistle and Art are wtith me now" Gwen explains the other voice though it probably doesn't need it

“Miss Marigold, we’re all okay. Honest.” Art adds his voice in reassurance.
