Having lost the coin toss, Dee grumbles and goes to face her liege lord. From what Gladiola told her, a fellow Satyr may have been chewed out

Of course, the troll was upset , as much as trolls get without destroying a room, about this too. But that stupid coin. Briefly she wonders if it was rigged.

She finds the Baron in his study, his expression closed and irritated. He is writing in one of his notepads, the scratching of the pen and the stabs of punctuation perhaps more than the poor paper deserves. One of the 'guest' chairs on the other side of his desk is tipped over, and there is a stain where it looks like a glass of something was spilled. It must be very fresh, Marigold would never let it set like that.

She bows low, "Baron. Forgive my intrusion. This is probably not the best time but... a knight serves as best she can "

He sets down the pen with a click. "Dame Lavender, I am told you assisted Sir Treyvor with his battle today. I trust that Snowthorn took no injury?"

"Snowthorn was a champion, Baron. No injury" She assures, "And yes, I did. When Bluebell screamed in terror and others raced on the scene. Some credit must go to the fledges. And, your dogs performed bravely. Ivan and Miskhka I believe. While Ivan was hurt, I was more worried about Bluebell."

"Bluebell suffered no lasting injury and was promptly healed of her scratch. Moreover, she should be lauded for her bravery in volunteering."

She straightens up, "Baron. I'm not sure she did volunteer. And the fact that Sir Treyvor wanted to earlier use Thistle, a fledge, as bait, has me concerned about Sir Trevyor's priorities. He's an amazingly brave knight, a hell of a fighter, but I think he maybe too free in how he treats the people of your barony as means to his end. I know he is your friend, but I could not be knightly, and shrink from opening this concern to you"

"Sir Treyvor is a boon companion and I will not hear slander against him. If he tells me that she was a volunteer, I trust his words. Even had her acquiescence in words been suspect, she accompanied him of her own free will. This will be the end of this discussion." His tone is cool.

"Please note that Bluebell will be off the roster in assisting in currying the horses for the foreseeable future." While the gentle pooka shies away mostly from the hounds and hawks, she doesn't mind the gentle mares and foals, and often visits to groom and give treats. "Steward Julius has taken his leave of the freehold and is to be considered on administrative leave. She has chosen to accompany him."

"But..." Her face contorts with frustration, then she takes a breath "yes, my lord. I'll see to it the gap in rotation is covered. May I inquire how long this administrative leave will last?"

"He may return when he is ready to bridle his tongue and forgo any foolish notions of dueling one far beyond his league. If he were wise, he might thank me for saving his life in such a denial." Aiden looks to Lavender. "Please see that the Fledges are rewarded for their actions and bravery, and that Dame Gladiola as well in her training of the dogs to answer such a call." Surely that is Steward work, but he doesn't seem to consider that she might decline the 'request'.

"Will that be all, Dame?"

"I shall," she assures thinking they do deserve the reward "And thank you for your time, Baron. I have voiced my concerns, and now with these new orders will take my leave unless you have more. " A polite bow Oh crap he's gone dragon again

He picks up his pen, and then adds, though his gaze is already back towards his paperwork, "You may also claim accolades, Sir Treyvor noted that, while he had the battle quite in hand, you were also of tangible assistance in quickly routing the beast. I am pleased to see that investiture in Joust Club has not been in vain."

"Thank you, Baron. I found Sir Treyvor proficient in battle as well. And Joust Club has indeed paid off. I take your praise with honor. Thank you" And she turns to go Challenged Trevyor to a duel? What was that idiot Julius THINKING?

She has rewards to get and give, a rotation to shift, and a call to make if not a visit to Julius. So tempted to give Trina an X Box or play station or something if it's being billed to the Baron right now. Her own dander up Did you buy each fledge a car? Just following orders, Baron but she clamps down on the thought. The Baron's biggest crime is being Ailil and loyal to a friend who doesn't deserve it Sir Trey however is getting less and less sexy everytime he opens his mouth.
