A laugh. "My heart is my own, but unlikely to summon forth a Unicorn, either by body or soul. But my blade, I would gladly say, is sharp and my arm strong, and I will defend the ways. If I cannot slay the beast, it will be chased off so far down the emerald paths that it will not find it's way again for generations."

"Gallant" She admits, and her own eyes get dreamy "It is why I love being a knight. To do the derring, to serve nobly, to make with a lance a legend, with a sword? A saga. We are warrior dreams of Chivalry in all it's forms. "

"Are you of pure heart, Dame? Perhaps we should hunt the beast in twain."

A bit of a grin there.

"Perhaps between the two of us, we have purity enough to make up the lack of a blade vorpal?" A grin such as his but wider

"Perhaps - if your Fledge would accompany us, we might use her ability to draw out the beast. She would be in no danger, not with my sword present." He suggests. "Or assign a thane as her personal guardian, though the more in a hunting party, the warier the beast might be."

At that her grin fades a bit , "Too soon I think, were she sained, yes, but the silver is dangerous enough for the unsained as it is, for that, well, I do not doubt your sword arm but risk for a fledge is hardly the same as risk for a proven Knight"

He looks disappointed. "I understand the danger, but hope that reticence to the suggestion will not result in some other innocent traveler becoming prey."

He lightly spurs his mount into a trot, and then a jump over a log to one side of the path. There was space to go around, but he is showing off a little, and his steed glad to do so.

A brow lift at that and she's tempted to say something about manipulation being a turn off, but then he jumps over the log, and she smirks and mimes him, and increases speed a bit

All in all, he leads her a merry chase!

And that she enjoys, and she strives to win this race because, well, she's a competitor! A Joust Club Alum!

In the distance they hear the sound of a hound dog belling on the hunt... Treyvor perks up and his hand goes to his sword.

Dee recognizes Glass's voice!

"That's GLass" She says "Briar's bloodhound"

"Right, your half-tame monster." He says with a grin. "I'd like to meet her!"

"This way" She says

He follows…

There is a small cluster of Nevers about!

He swats a hand at them. "Shoo, shoo!"

"mm.. Thistle? Briar?" She heard the howl, she's sure of it

"Huh?"

There is the sound of underbrush, but Thistle's bright voile (and brighter, neon-purple hair) stands out well against the forest backdrop. Muppet is at her heels.

"Okay.. Thistle, have you seen Briar or Glass recently? I heard the howl of the hunt . Oh, this is Sir Trevyon. A guest and old motley friend of the Baron"

"Briar? Nah." The sound of bells as the Nevers circle the nocker, a few perching on her shoulders or in her hair. "I'll keep an eye out, though. Did you know you had wild madder out here?"

"Wild madder?"

She holds up a cluster of roots with mud clinging to them. "Natural pigment! I'm gonna try making my own paint."

"Very cool. what color or colors do they make? "

"Reds, sometimes oranges."

"Sounds boss" She says

Her dark eyes do check out the sidhe, though she doesn't look at him quite square. Like how one doesn't look at the sun.

"Not sure if I can make it work as a fireable glaze, though. Maybe if I do a dry application under something clear?"

He swats at another Never that seems interested in the red in Silverdance's mane. "You'd best call your friends off, or..."

The horse's ears have gone back flat and teeth are showing.

"Citron, hey, come over here..." She extends a hand.

Citron flits away, just in time to avoid a SNAP of equine jaws!

"They like bright colors. But the whole flock of them might have one collective furkin' brain cell."

Treyvon canters the horse back several paces. "Stallions can be prickly."

"Sorry."

"OH. Oh, um. Hi, I'm Thistle."

"Thistles are also prickly." He slides off the horse, but doesn't bother to tether his stallion - it champs and paws at the earth, then settles to taste some early summer grass. "Sir Treyvon. It is a pleasure." He moves closer and peers into the underbrush. "What does the plant you are looking for look like?"

"They are! But it kind of suits, I'm not... there's this flower thing here, but I'm no Daisy, that's for sure, and..."

"Is that so? You have an entire garden of Neverlanders about you."

"Thistle's got a knack" She agrees

A brief grin. "Yeah, like I said, they like colors." She tugs on a purple pigtail.
