D'Lavender seeks the Baron, and she finds him outside the stables, speaking with another sidhe, and with Arty present as well. The fledge fidgets a bit as he is looked over by the stranger - A tall male garbed in armor, as is his horse, which may be even more splendid than a sidhe to D'Lavender's partial gaze. A magnificent black stallion with red accents on his mane, who tosses his head with a snort and whinny as the Knight approaches.

DLavener sighs a bit dreamily and snaps out of it quickly as she does have a job to do "Looking dapper, Gents." And yes, she means the horse as well . She bows

Art looks over and a smile breaks out - he gives an exuberant wave to D'Lavender. "Hullo, Dee!"

Aiden looks over as well, and gestures for her to approach.

"Sir Treyvor, this is my knight, Dame D'Lorean Lavender. She works with our hoofed stock and is an invaluable asset both in court and on the field."

The knight turns and he flashes a smile at Dee. Handsome as any Sidhe, with brilliant green eyes flecked with silver, skin fair yet kissed by sun showing that he spends time outdoors, and wisps of strawberry blond hair that escape from under his helm, lovely silver armor with black and gold accents on both man and beast.

He offers a gauntleted hand out. "Who better to work with hoofed stock than a rider who understands natively hooves?" A smile flashed, perfect teeth.

"Oh my , Sir Trevyor, " She takes the hand, "You are charming. I have intruded it seems. Normally I would be agog at your fine mount but... " She looks to the Baron "I bear news about recent happenings, Baron. I don't know if you want to trouble your guest but involves a danger on the horse path is now dealt with"

Treyvor's hand tightens for a moment on Dee's, before he releases. "A danger?" His horse nickers, in response to his master's tone.

The Baron's cordial expression fades into a frown. "Sir Treyvor was just preparing to head out. But if there is any danger - on the mortal paths, or the silver?"

Treyvor looks intrigued. His armor, and the sword that hangs by his side shows signs of use - nothing so crass as dirt or blood, but just the wear of weaponry that is not for show.

As muich as she doesn't want to bring up trouble before a stranger.... (A sexy sexy stranger) , her lordship has asked, and what's more, it wouldnt' be fair to risk harm to Sir Treyvor's horse if a certain redcap misses something on the path, though with glass's help that's not likely. That little kid is probably eating rebar like twizzlers now " Yes, Baron. It turned out a pair of mortals left rebar obstacles and the like hidden on the horse trails, hoping to use a drone to catch the 'follies' of it for some social media thing. Fortunately they were not streaming to the Cloud but a Mare did lose her shoe and Willy tended to it. Willy, Briar with Glass, and I sought out the culprits and found their drone, and them. We gave them a good thrashing, Baron. Briar is currently looking and clearing any extra surprises off the path with glass' help"

Sir Treyvor's eyes flash and he retorts, "I hope that those mortals were grateful of your mercy, Dame - were it my steed injured, I doubt I'd have stayed my hand at just a simple thrashing."

The Baron clears his throat a bit, and his visitor adds, "With respect to your Desmense, Lord Aiden." Aiden inclines his head slightly, mollified.

"You have done well to resolve the issue, Briar and Hostler Willie as well. I will see bonuses added to your pay this month, and Briar a small boon - within reason. I cannot say I understand this... "Social Media", but I am glad that you have put an end to their scoundrelry."

Art, almost forgotten, speaks up. "It's kinda like going to Court, but electronic. Sometimes more vicious in fact!"

Dear Pan, sidhe are magnificent, scary and beautiful when they're ired, and the fact Treyvor is ired, truly outraged about horse abuse wins yet more points... Your Pon far is upon you, Spock, and I am here to help "In point of fact my lord, the thrashing included Briar nearly severing a leg... and i have their identification for future notice." the memory of the bloody wound does dim her attraction for the moment and she uses it to focus "I must commend Willy Briar and Glass for their part in this, Baron" She says focusing oh her liege and nodding as she hears they are being recognized for their service "Suffice to say I think I'll up patrols along the horse path for a bit. There was a risk to the right of ignorance but I believe it is no longer a danger. Would you like the names of the culprits?"

And she looks at Art and nods "Exactly, thank you, Arthur."

"You must take care with such injuries. If they were to report that they were savaged by a dog, it might caught... inconveniences, though I trust Danica's ability to smooth over much in the courts of mortal law." Aiden warns, though he looks pleased rather than upset.

"Have their mortal identities recorded with the Steward so that we have the information should they transgress a second time." The Baron's expression is firm. "It sounds doubtful from your report that they will attempt such, but should they be foolish enough?"

Sir Treyvor finishes for the Baron, "There will not be a third." Baron Aiden nods, clapping a hand on the Knight's shoulder in a familiar manner of old friends.

Art pipes up, "Um, if you're done with me, sirs? It's just, I have this book I was reading, and it is due to be returned to the Library at EarthRunes by the end of the week. Their Librarian was QUITE particular to that effect."

"I shall," D'Lavender bows at the orders, then notes the comraderie "Forgive me, Baron, Sir, but you seem boon comrades who know each other well. "

"Sir Treyvon and I traveled together in a motley in our youth." He smiles fondly. "Many were the adventures we had in the Dreaming - da'an strips away the details, but she cannot steal the pleasure of time well spent. Ah, yes, Art. Do not risk the wrath of the bookkeeper, lest you be left with nothing to read." Art grins and runs off.

Treyvon bows to D'Lavender, one knight to another.. perhaps a smidge less low than a true equal, but perhaps forgiven by the way his toned muscles move with the motion. "My visit was two-fold. I had heard that Silverwolf had a fledge of unknown provenance, and wished to see if any house might speak to me in his manner. Also, there are rumours of a Jabberwock upon the silver in Apples, and I wanted to share warning until the beast is vanquished."

"And what House are you, Sir Treyvon? If one may inquire?"

For a moment it seems that the Baron might speak up, but Treyvon holds up a hand slightly, and inclines his head to the Dame. "Allow me a proper introduction. I am s Knight of the Guardians of the Gate, Sir Treyvon Swiftstrike ap Balor, of the house of Tower and Serpent."

She doesn't flap, not that she's unflappable but she had braced for an unseelie house of SOME sort. She knew the guy wouldn't be Gwydion, that was for sure, "OH I feel so ignorant. The House of Tower and Serpent, of course I know of, but Guardians of the gate? It sounds more specific? An elite order?" And a glance "And what is the name of this magnificent horse?"

"The Guardians of the Gates are elite trod-walkers and monster slayers." Baron Aiden supplies.

Treyvon nods appreciatively and continues, "My fellows and I are of a Knighthood dedicated to protecting the gateways and trods from the fell beasts. We patrol the ways, known and unknown, and maintain secure travels throughout the dreaming."

He takes off his helm now, and she can see that on one side of his head there is a perfect sidhe ear, lovely and narrow pointed - on the other, however, there is just a fleshy spot mostly covered by his flowing locks.

"My steed is Silverdance - he is a mortal beast, enchanted - but a boon companion and cleverer even than many fae I've met."

A nicker from the steed, proud as he recognizes his name and tosses his mane.

"He's beautiful" she croons at the horse, though not blind to the Balor's unveiling "Strong lines... " A professional eye "Good stamina but not slow, oh no"

"Would you care to join me for a ride, before I part? Aiden had promised me a tour of the trails, but perhaps I might opt for fairer company."

A mixed expression crosses Aiden's face, and then he decides on humor rather than offense. "Fair enough, to choose the fairer sex over the Fair Folk. As you wish, Dame, if your duties do not compel you otherwise." Allowing her the courtesy of an out to decline if desired.

"I must first go to the steward to finish my orders, but, if you will wait a moment or two, Sir Treyvon, I shall be flattered and honored to steal you away from my baron for a time. Though I won't do so too long as I have patrols and... well, the hold is awash in feminine energy of late and I'm sure the Baron is happy to have a fellow fellow , a friend doubly so. " She bows to the Baron again, "By your leave, Baron , I'll go to the steward now and return as I said."

"As you wish." He nods, and then turns to Treyvon, starting up a conversation, "Do you remember the fight we picked with Lord Ashfrey at Pennons during our time in White Sands? What was it you called him..."
"Oh, yes. Lord Assface." They laugh, and start recounting tales of Wildering...

A snicker at Lord Assface, and she forces her self to withdraw to tell Marigold of the two trouble makers and ask her or Julius to keep them on record and an eye out for them

Julius is out, but Marigold takes the message, and comments, "He's reconnecting with some of his old comrades... oh, that's good to hear. It's much too long that he's been secluded. As long as his Lady Love does not get jealous..." she chuckles at this, and offers to pack a picnic lunch?

"He and I are going riding later"

"A picnic lunch with wine, then?" She suggests smoothly?

"Marigoold..." Amused more than upset "If you're hoping for happily after, we satyrs are fickle thank you. And I do have a girlfriend... sorta." But she clearly is considering how far this is going "I like red better than the white, but if you know what type Sir Treyvon likes?"

"I have just the thing." A quick luncheon packed, with a sweet moscato, cheese and crackers and fresh fruit, mmm, could be finger foods, and a large blanket for ground cover neatly tucked away.

"Unless his tastes have changed, but he should like this. I might be up there in years, but I still remember what people prefer!" A soft snort, and she adds, "Though SOME of his tastes changed, thank goodness."

"THank..goodness?" A brow "Ah, Marigold, is there some habit htis guy is or was into I should consider a red flag?"

"Oh, no. He just..." She covers her mouth for a moment, amused, then says in a mock whisper, "He sought to court Calanthe once, when they were all teens. Bless, she taught him that Balor are not the only ones who can be venomous."

"Oh wow" she says Then "Well, while I can't compare to Calanthe for looks, I think he'll find I go a bit sweeter with the wine" A wink "Thanks, Marigold"

She chuckles and sends her on her way... with a cookie.

She eyes the cookie. Sometimes I think she believes We're ALL Childlings ... she TAKEs the cookie, of course. She's not crazy. Besides, I earned this. Munch and gone

Sir Treyvon proves that his steed is as magnificent as Silverdance looks - strong (though not as strong as the Thane's Fresians) and swift (if not as swift as her Snowthorn), Nimble (perhaps not as much as the Lord's own favorite mare).

He is also agile at conversation. "It does seem that your fledge shows no signs of my house. Sometimes the mark of Balor can be hidden, but he is clearly not wrought of our cloth, it seems." A wry smile. "Does that please your hold, do you think?"

"Truth to tell my lord, the only House I think the boy could be that would rankle my baron is Gwydion, and he would likely be grateful even then to have two fine fledges come to us at once," She chuckles

"Grateful, yet likely disappointed, as I doubt he would retain a Gwydion as a member of his court. Perhaps he could be traded, fostered as it were. Either way, I will be curious to hear how his feathers grow. And his fellow fledge, the Nocker? I have heard that she may be a Caller."

"A caller? " She considers the term

"A summoner of Chimera, whether by intent or simple nature. One who draws them to her presence, alike how mortals of old would use a maiden to draw out Unicorns."

"AH, " She suspected that was what he meant but it occurs to her giving out information too freely even to a friend of the Baron might be frowned on, still, he seems to have been told "It's a good term for it. Thistle is often leading a train of Nevers as colorful as her hair. Other chimera are drawn as well now and then, but they most of all. She's fond of them it seems, and they here. I suppose that would be of interest to a guardian of the gate. In the silver she might shine to chimera like a beacon"

"Have her take care. The trods leading here are fresher than many, and the magic that anchors them new. It can be temping to many beasts of the fell that may wish to try their mettle against travelers. The wiliest of which can trick one off the silver - the strongest may even trespass for a time - it takes only seconds to knock a soul away from safety."

"Myself, I plan on imposing on Aiden's generosity until the Jabberwock has been slain or driven back to the deep dreaming." His eyes gleam at the prospect of the fight.

She nods "I'll warn her. Dame Gladiola knows her better than I and both will keep an eye out for her" A curious look "Have you a vorpal blade, my lord? or a pure heart? Tis said one or the other is required to take down a Jabberwock"
