Aiden raises a brow a bit, and then smiles. "Well, Ered Lómin, registry named for the Echoing mountains - I believe you have found your answer."

The pup's tail flashes and he yips excitedly - not quite sure why yet, but they are paying attention to him!

"Okay if I call him Echo for short? I could call him blaze but who wannts to be defined by their looks? Not this guy" he points o his own marred face with good humor

And Olgar pets Blaze "get a whiff"

Nadeen DOES chuckle at thatt

"That said... the cost for those I have sold to nobility has been in the range of..." He names a potentially staggering sum that might put a kid through their first year of college.

"However, in recognition of the Rovers valiant action in defense at Silverwolf's call, and in exchange for the aforementioned stud rights and etc, I would have you accept him as a boon from Silverwolf. As will be offered to Hastien as well."

"As for the name? That is on the registry for his records and breeding pedigree. His common name will be up to you... and to an extent, to him, as even a LOYAL dog might refuse to answer to something ridiculous." A small smile.

"Geez ggive me a heart attack" Olgar says at the price named. "not sure if Hastien will want another dog but a boon is a boon... stud rightts you got."

Blaze aka Ered Lomin aka Echo bounces about the big man's feet

"If there is another Rover who you think deserves, and has earned a Silverwolf companion, please let me know."

"After all, Good press and advertisement is worth more than even one of these pup's weight in silver." Which is quite possibly how much they cost.

"You know what, Baron, you got a deal. Have you considered near Dark gate?" He asks "Some roverrs are near there, because my daughter used to be and I prressured em. But the warriors there regular might welcome one. Heck, Chief Hewitt might pay you. He's made some amazing barding, showed it off at Imbolc"

A blink. He glances to Nadeen. Did I really miss that? His eyes say to her!

"They were not interested in my last litter, so I may have discounted them." He says slow, thinking. "Though, they did not know us well at that time."

Nadeen glances at Aiden and smiles "Fear not , love. I may have mentioned it to the Chieftain via Linnae." She looks tto Olgar "dogs are relatively new to me too, Olgar, though Pyshka is a joy. So Aiden has been easing me in the hold businenss by suggesting I handle informing folks of the dogs to cultivate interest. I'm more social with people than my lord and consort"

there's truth to that comment, bit of flat out lies too, but it will cerrtainnly make it SEEM like Aiden had left that part in her hands

He nods, pleased and grateful.

Olgar however accepts it all "Well hey, they know you now. Now about that training, I heard you handle that, and that's great. But if possible I'd like a few hours wiht you and yours when tthe Dog is trained, to teach ME how to work with the dog best. Way I figure it, dogs want to please. Me? I can be a pain in the ass. I need to get some practice in so the dog doesn't see me as dead weight. that okay?"

Aiden is surprised. "That is a wise request. Granted, and gladly."

"Appreciate it" He says "if I had dross for every time some yahoo went trod diving with barely any prep, I could build a castle out of it. I imagine your trade faces the same at times with Dog ownership. " A look at Echo "Don't worry, Echo, I'll know the ropes , then I'll show you how I work."

Nadeen says "Business seems concluded, but Olgar, you know you're going to cause an INCIDENT that the hearth will hear about if you don't partake of a meal from Marigold?"

"Yes, I know that she made an entire honey cake, and then Sir Sergei was unable to stay. You must try it. I believe it has... was it 10 layers, or 12?"

"Honeycake? Oh well" Olgar grins "you know a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. Wouldn't want an INCIDENT. Lead me on to a place to wash my hands annnd I'll get to it"

Nadeen whispers "I'll call Dark Gate, tell them we've held a few in reserve, shall I? Let you handle the haggling over services or crafts?"

He whispers back, "My Winter Sun shines as brilliant as always. If we have Dark Gate outfit the Rover's dog, then we also gain their gratitude for advertising their craftwork, and can offer Silverwolf hunted leathers to boot."

Nadeen looks over her lover, brilliantly opportunistic even after a stumble, ambitiously working this so as middle man both sides feel grateful towards him "dear dreaming, you are so sexy to me right now I'm almost worried about myself." A kiss on the cheek, and off they go to plots and honeycake

And the Dairean wonders if it's possible to both find a fellow troll obnoxious and yet kind of admirable. But first, honeycake.

Echo sings a good bye for now. He has beat the odds! he will go the distance! he will guard the trods! Faithful true and strong! He'll be a good dog! Facing all resistance! He has finally found a person to whom.. he can belong!
