She frowns, shoulders curling. "I mean, I dunno."

Art nudges his empty notebook closer, and offers her a pen. "Can you sketch it? So we can see what you mean?"

"Or maybe plaster the words over, like... like police tape, strangling it?"

"I think I'm glad I asked for help" She admits "mmm the police tape strangling it might work "

"Karen'd be able to make it."

"If. Um."

"If we ask her?"

"If she... maybe?"

"I could ask, if you want?" Art offers.

"Which of us does she like best?" A look around

"She might know Trina from art class, or at least recognize her. Um. Some female classmates seem to react well to me?"

A touch embarrassed at this.

Oh dear, are Trina's cheeks red.

"Gwen's the jock, and Karen cheerleads..."

"That's right! Though I did wonder why they did not have male cheering squads for your team. If the football team gets female squads, it seemed to make sense."

"I'll talk to her" Gwen says.

"Great! That leaves, let's see. Ted, Randy and Flynn."

"I... said I'd talk to Flynn, for Chuck."

Art glances to Gwen! "Did you already recruit him to help? Good thinking!"

Gwen says "I need to talk to Chuck a bit about the details. Hard to explain" She says stiffly

Art's enthusiasm deflates a little. "Oh... sure."

"Shall I speak with Ted and Randy, then? Or... Gwen, if I have trampled on your idea, it was not my intent..."

"If Randy, try to get him when he's not with Flynn. Um."

"Maybe we both could try Ted..."

"No no... I'm grateful for the help, needed it, tha's why I was going to ask Trina for it. It's just..whew. gonna be expanding to a lot of possible leaks. "

"Think of it this way... I don't think any of them have any particular loyalty to Mr... you-know-who. He doesn't especially inspire it?"

A smile "Tru that"

"Well, no."

A nod to Trina. "That sounds good. Then if I put a foot into my mouth, you can help me to extricate it without alienating anyone."

"Yeah? Ted's cool, though. He's not, like, into the clique games. That should help."

"And that's class, everyone! I hope you got some good review in, because everything we went over today WILL be on the test!"

Mrs White calls, moments before the bell rings.

Arty looks a bit guilty, but whispers to his table, "I'll write up note sheets for you both."

"You're a doll."

"Thanks" Grateful

"Catch you after class?"

"Yeah."

"Sure" She rises getting her stuff

He grins, and gives them a covert thumbs up! "Teamwork!"

"Heh."

A quiet snerk . This was enlightning. And she learned something It's scarier needing help than offering it, but it's.. nice to find out you can get it
