Aiden asks her, "Will you come speak with her? She did come all this way, in a storm."

A soft rap on the door, and Bluebell calls, "The storm worsens, it is best to speak with guests before they are blown away..."

Bluebell whispers to Thistle, "I fear the rabbit has kicked up snow into the storm. Alas, I have not helped."

"Off you all go then," Nadeen looks tempted to go despite her words to Arthur earlier, but she resrains herself. Thistle can handle this.

Art watches them all go, and sighs. "I would offer to fight a duel if it would help. I am sure this time I would get my behind handed to me, or perhaps launched via ballista. Nockers are... intimidating. I would rather face a sword."

"You can't let them bully you, not that thisttle is the type. Besides, you'e very intelligent. They respect intellect. However, I think any duel would not be the sort with weapons"

"I'm not especially clever with my words like Bluebell either. Not am I swift to observe the political acumen of the situation, as the Baron is said to. I fear I am no Ailil."

"I do want to speak with you. I know you love the stars, yourr studies in such areas, but how are you doing in cantrips? I'vee tried to teach you some basics, but have you been practicing?"

"I've been studying the nature of the arts, and of how bunks affect cantrips, and the proper realms to apply so that cantrips may take effect. The practicality behind the nature of magic is fascinating. Did you know that there are arguments that state that arts have changed over the years, and different spells sprung into being, or the same spell, but manifested through a different path? Some purists claim it is not so, but there are treatises on the subject, entire stacks of them."

"I have seen signs of the effect myself" She admits "But you need to do more than learn the theory, you must practice the working"

"Would it not be more efficient to see what memories return on Saining, and grow my skills from there? Else I might spend time re-learning skills I already know, or once knew, and will remember?"

"You are applying logic where deeper wisdom reigns" the baroness says "It is by practing cantrips you may learn where past lives' strengs dominted even before saining. I cast a dictum in the first week of my arrival.." She does not mention it didn't work

"To be honest? It's not so much avoidance... but the science behind the magic is so fascinating I get pulled in."

"Mmm... you might be a natural seer, or at leastt scribe, but here's the thing, in our world? those with arts at powerful practical levels are the ones who are often trusted more with the rarest lore. Fair? No. But it is how it works. "

He opens his mouth to protests, but he cannot refute it, closing his mouth again. "Thistle thinks she can practice Wayfare. That's pretty amazing. I suspect, though I haven't asked, that there is something to that nature tied into the propulsion behind Wudlig's automotive."

"Oh very possible... but what kind of art appeals to you? you've read. Is there nothing that appeals tto you more than others? the idea of fire at your finger tips? A voice of command? Flight from Wayfare yourself? Sootthsay to augmett your visions?"

"Soveriegn is my strongest, but I know some Winter as well"
