"As long as I can still work with Thistle, I guess it doesn't matter who my mentors are." Art starts. Aiden raises a brow, and the fledge continues, "I mean to say, I am willing to work with anyone, and, I appreciate your taking the time to be my mentors personally." He bows again.

"We really must polish your approach, a bit, Arthur" But she does not seem offended too much

He gives her a sheepish smile. "I suppose that's why you need to mentor me." A bit cheeky, but polite.

"Art's a good scholar. So - there's places for sidhe to do that, right?"

"Every sidhe has to find his or her own style of leadership, there are scholar kings in story and song, just like there are warrior poets.... " She starts to explain, but there's a knock at the door

"Every scholar starts at the same place. Their local library." Aiden says, perhaps joking, perhaps not - then he turns, glancing at two. "Expecting company?"

Lavender speaks up "Oh, your lordships, did'n't know you were here. Some nocker from Earth Runes here to see Thistle. She's in the parlor. I'll tell her to wait"

"From Earthrunes?" Aiden looks surprised. He murmurs to Nadeen, "Do you think they have heard of the new tracking device and sent a craftswoman to inquire?"

"Nadeen, I can accompany Thistle to greet the visitor if you need to speak further with Art?"

Aiden responds, "It would be courteous to find out what brought her here."

Aiden waits a moment, expectantly. "Is there a problem?"

"What happened at Earth Runes the last time you were there? " nadeen arches a brow

She catches her left elbow with the opposite hand, cradling her arms close.

Aiden looks to Thistle. "Anything that may have happened, you are of Silverwolf. We will not throw you, as it were, to the wolves. Come. We will resolve whatever brought her here."

Art stands up. "I can go find out what she wants?"

He looks to Nadeen. "But..."

She frowns.

Art blinks, "Did you get in a fight? Is THAT why you were upset later in the day?" Perhaps clueless, but he sounds relieved. "I thought you were mad at ME."

"Said that Silver Wolf was stuck up." Looking down at her feet.

"Called it a boondocks."

Aiden blinks, and... he smiles, just a little. "To be stuck up, is to be aloof, to act above another, as though one is superior. It is very hard for an Ailil to be accused of being stuck up. After all, we know we are superior."

"I told her all about WIlly and WUdlig."

"Ah. And?"

He looks to Nadeen, pondering. "I am not familiar with that slang. What is it, to be a boondocks?"

"That it's, like, nowhere. Some worthless place out in the sticks."

He frowns, arms crossed and fingers tapping on his arm. "Carthage is.... remote. It is admirable of you to come to our defense." He nods approvingly to Thistle. "It may take more than words to undo what harm decades of inattention have done. In a way... this Nocker from Earthrunes is not entirely wrong. Simply misinformed about the nature of the Silverwolf of today."
