A knock on the workshop door for Willy

And then the Baroness' voice "Willy? Are you in?"

"WHA....." some kind of self-preserving instinct kicks in "Yeah?"

"I'd like to talk to you, please"

Some heavy clanking, a muttered curse, and Willy opens the door; resplendent in overalls, heavy work boots, and a thick leather apron. Her hair is caught back with twine. "Yes, Ma'am?"

"I'd like to hire you for a commission? "

"Furk. I mean, come in, please."

Willy steps back to make room; inside, the workshop is HOT. DAMN HOT.

"Oh I've got you at a bad time," The Baronness frowns "In the middle of something big?"

Pyschka sticks her nose into the shop, sneezes, and then backs away with a WHUFF. She will wait. OUTSIDE.

"Sorry, Pyschka"

"Uhhhhh.... no, no, not for you Lady."

Willy rubs the back of her neck.

With a kerchief.

"Well, I won't pry though I am curious. I was wondering if you were able to make horse gear in a .. Norweigan style?"

A frown. "Norwegian style? Lady, there's western and English... some small variations on that unless you're talking -racing- which is a whole different thing.... unless you're not talking saddle-and-bridle, like you want a rig harness or somethin'?"

"My apologies, it's a plan for a gift for Chieftain Brekke for Yule. She has a war horse named Stormwake, I thought something that had norweigan flarre to it would please here.. here I have measure ments" She offers it up "For jousting"

Willy manages to stop the very start of an eyeroll; she might if strained a tendon, though. "A -jousting- rig. Ok." She takes the measurements and looks them over.

Those at least, seem to be well kept "Saddle and so on, she'll obviously be jousting from the back of the horse. But something that shows off viking heritage? I don't kknow, runes, or maybe it plays Norwiegan battle songs as she rides?"

"That.... is an idea." Willy agrees.

"Is it within your skillset?" She inquirres

"You know anything else about this ... wait, Chieftain? What, Native American?"

"No, She's not Native American .It's a Scandinavian set up? 90% trolls"

"-Trolls-....." an important piece of information, apparently??

"Yes. My apologies. I thought you knew I had spent some years at a troll lodge ... but you don't come to dinner often. Chieftain Brekke Shacklebreaker of House Gwydion is a troll. Quietly proud of her Norwiegan heritage"

"A noble.... troll.... Gwydion.... Norwegian.... jousting rig."

Her spirals flush deep, but she nods. "Got it. Can do."

"Thank you, it's meant to be a yule gift so I think that should be enough time. Are there any other resources you need from me?"

"Not sure yet, Lady. Gotta get a concept."

"Good luck. Oh, please don't let it intterfere with your mentoring duties of Thistle"

Willy swallows a grumble; only a -little- get out.

"What do you think of our newest fledges, since I have you for the moment?"

"FledgeS?" she asks about the plural form "More than just Shells?"

"Shells?" A pause "Not sure who that is, but we have two, Thistle also known as Katrina... a kith sister of yours , and Arthur... or Arty, the sidhe ."

"Shell's. Like Egg Sh.... nevermind. Lady." she ends in a mumble "Haven't met Arthur."

"So what is your opinion of Thistle?" She seems interested "Your honest one, please. "

And she waits

Willy's attention is captured momentarily by a flare from the (super hot) forge and she heads over to stoke/feed/ventilate/adjust it.

"She's new. Got promise."

"Mmm you see some potential for talent?"

A shrug, tending the forge. "Got some potential. Who doesn't?"

"I suppose I was hoping for details, what you think her strengths are, What you think her weaknesses might be?"

Willy wipes herself down with a kerchief. "My Lady, only met the girl a few times."

"Of course, I just wish to help her realize that potential"

"Mmph." Willy pokes the fire "She's a fortunate girl."

"She came very close to bein undone before she was released" A nod "How about your potential, Willy, have you had time to pursue a few of your own dream projects?"

"I ain't takin' nothin'!! I only used what I earned!"

"What?" She steps back "I never said you were. I meant I hoped you were getting a chance to craft the way you wanted to. That you were finding joy in your creation? "

"Yeah! Yeah. Yes. Yes, Ma'am, I am. Thank you."

"I feel I touched a nerve," The Baroness says calmly "You're welcome, of course, but have you been accuse of theft before? Annd no I do not think you have stolen a thing. You have been so reliable I fear we take you for granted"
