She finds Briar, polishing and oiling her claw gauntlets. Perhaps she could have found a less antique rug to sit on to do so, but hey, she's not causing trouble?

"Hey, Briar" The knight ttakes a seat near her so to get more on her level "Claws are looking extra sharp today"

"Yeah? I sharpened 'em. Ragged and rust looks scarier sometimes but you know, sometimes it gets stuck on the meat. Instead I figgered I could paint blood on 'em to make them LOOK old and dirty."

"if you could find some sort of anti coagulate substance that stayed on the claws, you'd increase the chances of a target bleeding out too" She considers out loud then catches herrself TOO late Why the fuck did I SAY that?

"Holy shit." She GRINS. "Where do I get anti-corgagulents?"

then again, maybe this can work for me? "I have some ideas. But.. first. I have a request of you"

Her expression shifts to wariness. "Uh huh. Always a catch, ain't it?"

"Well, not ALWAYS" A bit sheepish "but what I'm going to ask of you is going to be annoying to you, so if I can do something good for you later, it pays off right?"

She chews on this for a moment. "Might be?"

"I don't like the sound of annoying things. It's Blossom, isn't it? I ain't letting her... braid my hair or nails or whatEVER the heck she wants. She can have BLUEBELL. Dumb Bunny doesn't know better."

Not that Briar HAS enough hair to braid. Maybe in the back where she hasn't cropped it manually recently... but it's pretty ragged.

"Oh no, not about Blossom," She answers "Actually, it's about Thistle.. ah, Katrina, the new nocker? "

"Who?" A bit blank. "Oh, one of the newbies. I seen 'em. Hey, you want me to teach her stuff? I got LOTS to teach." A toothy grin.

"Actually, I was going to ask you not to kill the nevers around her. She seems fond of them and..weirdly enough considering the autumn person abuse she got, they're drawn to her like bees to honey. "

"She's got her own snacks? And I don't GET any?" Positively offended.

"She doesn't see them as snacks. She likes them. So I'm asking YOU not to snack on them either."

A scowl, but this is her thinking face. Finally, she responds, "I won't hunt her little pixie-sticks. But if they come bothering me up in my face, I can't be in trouble if they -" She makes a SNAP, SNAP motion, chomping at the air. Gwen may be glad that her hands are not in reach.

"That fair enough?"

"It's like, on the farm, they told us about this Darwin guy. He has a law that says stupid shit gets eaten, and that's how evolution works." A nod.

"I think that's reasonable" She admits "She may still complain if she sees it , and I do hope to avoid that. She's kind of tramautized .HOWEVER..., " Gwen informs her , quite glad her hands, stone shielded or not, are not in reach, goes on "I do have a job I think you might love."

"Yeah?" Perking up.

"Yeah," A nod "See, it's one thing to have Nevers not causing too much trouble, it's another if they begin to vadalize or hassle the animals. Now, I got to thinking, the Caucasion shepherds are so big, they're really not great hunters for tiny targets like that. BUT...YOU have the the dog with the best damn nose in the County. ANNNND..." She actually looks excited "What if you and I taught the Glens how to, On command, of course, Dig out small Chimerical pests in their holes and chase them off? Sure, the Glens look like Square headed muppet dogs to us, but to the Nevers that try to cause trouble? they'd be like silent wolf man type terrors... Pest Control could totally be their niche in the Changeling market. "

"Glass , of course, can find the pests if the terriers can't, and her howl would be like the Scream of Death on the wind to some upstart nevers that do'tt respect Darwin"

She listens. "Am I allowed to eat what I catch? 'Cuz I ain't playing catch-n-release, you know that's not my jam."

"Mmm I was thinking more of scaring them so they learnn to stay away and teach other nevers not to mess with you, or the dogs" She admits

"Eat a few and the rest get plenty scared." She reasons. "But Nevers? They don't burrow unnerground. That's gonna be rats, possums, badgers. Nevers like to nest up high, ain't gonna get at those easy-like."

"Sometimes they sleep in big flowers, but Marigold told me no messin' up her garden."

A thoughtful look. "Gwen, you better make sure Bluebell stays away. That, or have her come by and make sure the dogs KNOW her. They'll tear a coney up."

"You can't tell a terrier not to rat. It's their NATURE. I mean, you can tell 'em, but it's not FAIR. Might as well dress me up in pigtails and put me in a pageant." A look on her face warns Gwen against trying that.

"That's why we should be glad they're fae hounds to learn the difference.. I hope" But she looks concerned , "But.. you make sense. Even fae houds have instincts. Yeah, we need to have her come by." Worried a bit

"Or just keep 'er out of the woods during hunting season. Normally she holes up." A shrug.

"Let's make sure they learn she's off the menu, familiarty and such. As forr the never hitting the air... I bet the dogs have endurance on them, but we do have an alternative to wearing the nevers out ... bit tricky with Dame Calanthe gone, nnot that i want her back. But the Baronness could sic Vespa or some other bird of prey on them"

"Yeah, the murderbirds are cool. They don't like me much, but then again, they're just danger chickens!"

And a snort. "She ain't coming back. You think she could show her face after being shut down like that? She'd never live it down. House Ailil, the silver pigeon!"

A snerk "That cheers me up," A nod "Okay, means they're going to have to find a new falconer I guess. I like the dogs"

"We could eat the birds?"

"Then use the building for more dogs!"

"Tempting" And it is, she LOVES Dogs. There's something lovably dwerpy about them at their worst, and loyaly nnoble about them at their best. "But I thinnk the baroness isnn' about to give up on them all annd.." then she blinks, looking out the window

Briar stands up and peers as well. "What?"

A bird of prey has shot past the window, catching an unsuspecting starling and then returning... if one looks just a bit to the left, they can see the bird returning towards the gloved hand of BLOSSOM, who's eyes are lit up with deligght and wonder. near her, Baronness Nadeen nods approvingly

"Looks like blossom might be in training to be a hawker" Gladiola states what be obvious

"Huh! Hey, you think she's going to eat that... aww." A disappointed sound when the bird is given a chunk of her prey to eat.

"Dogs are still cooler" Gwen snorts

"Totally." She nods in agreement.

"So about that blood stuff...." Nope, she didn't forget as Gwen might have hoped... "Think I can get somma that before Samhain?"

"What do you need it for? Sounds like you have something specific?"

"Yeah! Cuttin'!"

"Cuttin' and cuttin' loose when cuttin'!"

"Maybe I should ask WHO are you after with them?" A brow "Someone specific pissed you off that you want to use it on?"

"Nah, though if a Pidge showed up, I'd give 'em a few slices they're still owed. Just making up for an entire season of being GOOD. Samhain is MY time." A nod of anticipation.

"Well, I'll see what I can do" She says "Problem is KEEPING it on the claws, liquids dry off fast, or drip off... might need a carrier oil coating"
