As word got out that the new Reeve of Silverwolf was looking for donations for a charity auction, responses came in! Not an outpouring, but more than a trickle.
Julius brings the responses to Nadeen just after breakfast, after plates have been cleared, but fresh pots of coffee and tea remain at hand.
"I see a few options, Baroness. You might choose to answer each individually, which would take the most time but might please the donators with the attention, you could set up a time to 'hold court', of a sort, and have them come by to deliver their items personally, or you could request drop offs or send couriers to pick up the donations, which would be most efficient, but least personal touch. If you did the latter, I might recommend a personalized thank you letter to each to accompany their invitation to the event, lest they feel slighted."
He moves on to another batch of paperwork.
"For the mortal side of the auction, you could approach local businesses to donate services or items, the exposure they'd receive would help them as well. I'm not sure if you'll find much to top that fancy gown, but there are certainly options. I can help on that side, as can Ms. Marigold, she has quite a few friends in town - she always does like to shop local."
"I've seen a few inquires as to the nature of the charity. Will you be donating the proceeds to an existing foundation, or forming a new charitable trust? The Fae side of things we can run informally, but the mortals tend to love their paperwork." Says the Satyr that loves his paperwork.
