A few moments before she responds. Head canted to one side, listening. And watching Nadeen. Appraising.

“Am I to be considered for the position?”

"Now you sound surprised" A brow lift, "What brought you to the Barony?"

A small, amused smile. "To find out if I would be considered for the position, of course."

Mm A bit of amusement herself "You traveled from a job in Northern Ice to check out a job here , I was wondering if there was a reason for the move beyond the job consideration, and yes, you're being considered. " A look at her "Now truly, why did you leave the services of a fine Eiluned hold? Were they abusive, did tthey let you go for some slip real or imagined? or were you just that curious to see if I could overcome my House's traditional feelings and do my job by considering you at all? Bit early for April's fools after all"

An added admission "Though I'd give you points for courage"

She inclines her head. "I do feel it is a bit of a disservice to assume this to be a prank. I am not, after all, a pooka. My kith places far more value in looking out for our own, than in mischief and shenanigans." Lucretia stands.

"However, you have done me the courtesy of spending your assuredly valuable time in interview, so I feel I owe you at least an answer. I have not, in fact, left their services. Courage? Perhaps better assigned as curiosity, learnt my masters. It has led me to find an answer, unexpected - that there may exist a Varich Reeve who would treat fairly with even the kith they have the lowest regard for."

"I thank you for your time." She bows to Nadeen, and picks up her hat. "And bid you good luck in your search."

She rises, "Given the upcoming holiday, I wouldn't be surprised if a troll were feeling mischievous, Lucretia, but I did mean no insult. Kith aside, from what I read in these references , your current hold is lucky to have one so skilled. And , I thank you for the observation. I am a Reeve here, and thus my ears are open even to whispers. Else I would fail the Baron, and Silverwolf maybe reclusive and proud, but it is rarely insincere. If you ever do move into the area for some reason, look me up again. I would be remiss not considering such a candidate as yourself for future openings."

She inclines her head slightly. Though she does not offer her hand. Then again she might not do that for applicants anyway. Particularly if they hadn't taken the job.

Lucretia inclines her head in return - to the same precise angle. "I do hope that you find that which you seek. Or that which you need. Mayhaps they are even the same." On that cryptic note, she takes her leave.

She waits for the sound of the door to softly close. She looks at her dog waitinng for the all clear. Pyschka is not perfect, but she knows sluagh scent

Pyschka tilts her head to one side, intent on the door. After a few moments, her mouth lolls open and tongue pokes out. "Boof." She whuffs quietly, pressing her head against Nadeen's hand for pets.

She pets the dog and lets out a long easing brearth "Good girl."

A snuggle "lovely," She whispers to her dog "It's not a prank, I'm being tested for moral clarity by .. oh it matters not. " That said, she plans on making sure the tea cups get emptied out and the cups scrubed if she has to do it herself. And yes, there will be a shower in her future.

Her very near future.

Somewhere outside, Gwen stares at now much cleaner dog, and looks at her now much dirtier self and sighs.

Ivan hops up - luckily Gwen is sturdy! And places his paws on her chest so that he can swipe her face with his tongue. He's gotten BIG!

"You knobhead" But she hugs him and laughs

He wags his tail. Ivan doesn't know what those words mean, but if HIS mistress said them, they must be something good!
