Gwen makes sure a certain boggan is eating the food doctors recommend, and drinking her milk, for GOOD Bones. If Marigold won't get the surgery, she can atl least eat right for good recovery

Marigold tsks and scolds Gwen for trying to coddle her, but with as much emphasis as the boggan puts on the wilders and Briar to eat right, she can't very easily complain, so finds it easier to just drink the milk.

"I'm really feeling better though. Once that storm passed, it was the worst of it, Gwennie."

"So storms trigger this?" Dubious

"Its the bad weather, hurts my bones, is all."

"Uh huh.. so.. winter weather, spring storms, summer heat and maybe Autumn chills?" Gwen huffs then sighs "I'm sorry, Marigold. You just scare me is all" A blush

She reaches out and pats Gwen on the arm. "You're a good lass. But there's no cure for getting older, I'm afraid. Else they'd never had spent so many lifetimes seeking the fountains of youth."

"is the fountain of youth real?" She asks curious

"If it is, it's likely so deep into the dreaming that by the time any changeling who found it, they likely forgot what it meant to be mortal or why they sought it."

"Oh" She sighs then says "No easy way outs are there? Even for us"

"Becoming a changeling was out way out." A fond smile. "But don't give up on anything. If you wish for it hard enough, it will exist in the dreaming. Though, finding it... that's another story. Ah, I wonder how Tiberius is doing...."

"Tiberius? You said that name before"

"Mr. Tibbs, to be informal. When he's being all fancy, it was Tiberius the Wanderer, back in the day. A fine Eshu, and a fine man."

"Oh, right" A grin "Wait, were you two uhm.. did you date?"

She clears her throat a little and smiles. "We quested together." A touch modestly, but she does smile.

"Did you date on these quests?"

"Oh, why all the questions today? Looking for some advice? How IS Chuck doing, by the by?"

A BLUSH "he's .." A smile "he's wonderful. He..he's so shy in some ways I didn' expect"

"Oh?" Raised brows, curious as she leans in. "I thought he was a sporty fellow, like one of those braggadocios, blustering jocks we see on those tee-vee shows you kids watch these days. No?"

"Oh he's an athlete, but no he.. " And she starts to ramble about how wonderful Chuck is. How he holds hands without acting a jerk about it. how he is interested in HER and what she likes and opens up about what he enjoys.

Marigold listens, and smiles. "Are you dating, or just friends? Not that it's anything wrong with friends. They're good to have. I was going to ask if you wanted to enroll at Carthage High after Spring break. There's only so much Fae learning we can hope to cram into your head before it leaks out your ears, after all. Might as well give you downtime to learn a thing or two in school."

"I guess I have to face the music sometime" at the mention of going to high school "Is it very banal?"

"Some loathe it, some blossom in the social atmosphere, others find their calling in something they learn, either through class, or about themselves. There's bound to be some growth for you. And if it is banal, well... perhaps you can find a way to spark something better there. But you know I will not force you to go if you truly hate it."

"I'll give it a chance" She says "And. uhm. I thinkn we're between friends and dating? I mean.. I want hi mto ask me out on a date but I'm also nervous he will"

"Have you thought of asking him? From what you say, he's a bit of a shy one. Perhaps he is nervous as you are."

"What? NO! What if he said no? Or laughed, or didnn't laugh enogh? I'd DIEEEE!" Yup. Teenage girl is quite sure she would DIE

A chuckle. "Well then, the best you can do is encourage him. Think of it, what if you said no? Or laughed? Eh? Give him some reason to believe you shan't."

"I wouldn't.. I'm not a .. I Wouldn't lead him on and then do that it's .. it's cruel" A nod

"...so you mean to say no then?"

"NO I mean.. ack! " She cluthces her head "Mar-EE - Gold you're making me imagine all the ways I could mess this up"

A soft chuckle. "Just be yourself. It seems that's what he likes, and what you're best at." Patting her hand.

"Now if you give me a bit, I have some mending to do."

"Yes, Marigold. " And.. an impuslive soft hug, and the girl goes

Marigold watches her go, then moves to her bed with a wince, flipping down the light dimmer. There IS mending, but maybe for later. Darn storm is lingering.
