Inside the workshop, the clang of a hammer, the stench of hot steel, and in the windows light flares and subsides.

And.. wood settled down to replace what was lost, but in a hurry, and a knock on the wood shed door

There's a terrific HISSSSSSSSS.....

"Okay.. fine... we have a guest over, Tibs he tells the most amazing stories. Thought you should know!"

The voice calls through the door excitedly

Willy fling the door open. "WHAT???"

"We have an eshu guest, he goes by Tib.. and he's awesome. His stories are amazing. He was lost, but he's back and recharingn and I thought you might want to meet him. Your call" Gwen seems delighted!

"Eshu? Useless wastes of oxygen! Stories... what good are they?"

"He saw a canal built once" She says "But you're right... who wants to hear about a RIVER being made by invention and hard work?"

Willy pauses. "Canal? Like... irrigation?"

"Some third world country thing... He didn't tell the story yet .. though he does take requests"

She snorts, looks back into the forge. "Metal's too hot right now, gotta cool." She steps out onto the porch/overhang.

"Turns out he took picures of wars and stuff, but the army enginneering corps does amazing work?"

"Not bad, for mortals. All redtaped up, though. He took pictures? Thought he was a storyteller." Snort. She starts off for the House.

"Photojournaist I think, used to let him travel and gave him a good way to tell stories.. so.. the answer is yes to both? "

"Maybe he's got pictures of the canal and I can skip the nonsense."

"but the 'nonsense' might tell even more than the pictures, how it was done, what were the planners and workers like? What motivated them to get up each morning?"

The look Willy gives her suggests the troll is very dim.

Nope. She's not going to let it bug her today "Besides, he's got a great voice"

Willy heads for the laborer's entry. "You think they got coffee in here or something?"

"Of course, wait, you haven't been to the kitchen?" Surprised "I'm sorry, let me show you where the coffee is kep"

"I know where the kitchen is, cooks don't always like people tromping around their shops."

"You gotta get out more."

"Uh huh ..well. I am, that's how I found Tibbs" She pours the coffee

And hands her a mug

"Yeah, well, don't go out without a handler or something." She takes the mug and drinks.

"You know, you're just taking your shots, but I helped awaken a fantastic guy back to the Dreaming, and he's got great stories, and I'm feeling TOO Good"

And she smiles

"Wait, you -woke- him?"

"Well, not like a dream dance. He had forgotten himself. It was sad." She says "I lucked out , my ... friend introduced us."

"You got a friend knows forgotten Fae?"

"A son of Adam who only knows him as a cool guy. He doesn't know about us. " A brow "I DO get out some"

"So you just lucked onto this eshu? Or rather, him to you?"

"Yep. He says it might be Da'an, but you know, however it happened I'm glad it did"

"Guess it's a Right. No choice, once you knew about it."

"Exactly. The kenning lessons helped. I need to keep focusing on those it seems. But there were some clues. Some of his stuff at his house and such" She had gone to clean there earlier like she said she would, and it was SO tempting to poke around but she behaved herself.

"You want a medal?"

"There's one of our own returned to us, who knows stories and lore I could not even imagine.. who can share it with all of us, and help us fight for the dreaming. Who might even be a friend. Who needs a medal?" happy

Yup. Gwen's upbeat about this

"Not you, that's for sure."

"Guess not" She says happily

"Willy, have you ever got to bring someone back? Does it always feel... this .. right?

"

"Seen a few go; mostly work with metal. Easier."

"mmm yes. I would hate to have a friend fade and NOT be able to stop it"

"Friend or not, sucks to watch." Slurp.

"I do not envy you seeing that" She says "Sorry "

"Sorry for what? I'm not the one that went."

"Well, you said it 'sucks to watch' and i sounds like you did. It was brave of you to stay by and try"

A shrug and slurp.
