Willy storms after "YOU COME BACK HERE!!"

"Hey, what's going on?" Gwen says as she hears noise enough to disturb the dogs

"NO! You go back in your hole!" Briar shouts back.

"GIT YER HEAD OUTTA YERS!!!"

The nocker shouts, then rounds on the stone-troll "WHAT?!?!!"

"OOOKay... " Gwen says and gets between them "Hey guys . Please, both of you take a breatth, then tell me what's going on, please"

It appears that the nocker has some firm beliefs about the current situation and relevant issues.

Firm, fixed, and vocal.

Briar looks upset. "I didn't do NOTHING. " JAW JUT.

"Okay.. first I'm not sure that's anatomically possible.. second clearly something happened, third .. let me ask a few things." A look to Briar "Did you go into her workshop? She seems to indicate you did"

"I don't see why it's HERS. She don't own it! It's the Baron's, like all of this." SCOWL.

Gwen sighs "Briar, the baron placed under her care, and it's where she works, and she needs some privacy to do that. Now.. I'm hoping she realizes that in most cases, where we work ,stables, kennels ec are not completely closed off ,but her work IS different with some different needs"

Briar glares, and scowls. And... sniffles. An arm swipes violently across her face. "I just wanted to know what she was making! It was probably SHIT anyways!"

Gwen looks at Willy "We are a pretty small group, interactions ARE going to happen"

"Shit????"

"And I won't apologize about your lunch neither! It ain't my job to fetch and carry for you but MARIGOLD asked me to. And you'd probably say something shitty about her too!" Chin wobbling. She is a fierce Nightmare dream... but she's also just a kid. A punk kid, but a kid none-the-less.

Gwen moves to Briar "hey.. hey...you're angry but sometimes it takes time. Remember it took us a while to figure out each other? "

Willy grumbles but... well.... the work is important.

A look at Willy "Wrie up a listt of any damages. I'll look into replacing it if I can."

And Gwen means it. she isn't sained. she has no official position here yet. But Briar is her friend and she'll take responsibility for her

"It was just a piece of wood! It LITERALLY grows on trees." She tries to explain to Gwen. "You're not gonna tell on me are you? I was just WATCHING and I got hungry and I thought about eatin' her lunch but Marigold told me to give it her, and I SHOULDA just eaten it because now it's DREK anyways."

Maybe not properly using the word... but it seems that the kid has been listening to Willy a bit.

A blinnk "wait, scrap wood?" A look to Willy "It was scrap wood right?"

"There was a whole pile of em, and I only took one!"

Perhaps they were sized and cut for a purpose, but they looked like a heap to Briar...

"Willy, was this about scrap wood?" She notices the nocker has gone quiet

"No such THING as scrap wood. Not great but.... still... some use."

A sniff and a mutter, but nothing audible. Arms cross defensively. Or to look tough. or Both!

"Okay.. uhm willy. I don't know if you knwo many redcaps but .. if she's chewing on Wood, she's probably saving a life, as long as it's not furniture or a support beam, exttra bonus. "

"If this place don't feed the 'caps they keep.... I should move on." Willy spits.

a sigh "I'll get some more wood for you. I'll chop some tonight" Gwen says, "Briar.. don't take others lunches. You go on. I want to talk to Willy Wilder to Wilder ..."

"Nah. I want more wood, I'll go get it."

Briar is glad to leave. She doesn't even have a retort before scattering.

Heading off towards the Kennels.

Gwen moves to Willy , not to intimidate, though she does loom, but to make sure she can speak quietly "You do know Briar's a kid right? younger htan us. She's a childling? We're wilders?"

"Oooo.... oh she is? Oh, ok. Sorry."

A brow knit then "Look, just like she can't or shouldn't take bites out of people, you need to tone down the biting remarks, at least where kids are concerned. Now.. I'll get the wood but ... if I know her , she was curious. She wanted to get to know you. She's a kid, and sometimes she gets lonely, and sometimes she gets curious. Not everyone who comes near you is out to get you or whatever it is you seem to think. So.. Please. Give her slack due for her age and the vulneralbity that comes with it"

"Take it easy on her? A 'Cap?"

"A KID" She says "more than that, a KID who is a part of Silverwolf. We're all part of this fief now, we're all part of a pack, and I guess a pact. We look out for each other. we help each other and we work together. I don't know what life was like for you when you were a little kid, or childling, but good or bad, we should go easy on the young ones in our group"

Willy nods. "Ok. Message received."

"Thanks" She says to Willy "Now.. how can I help undo whatever damage she did? And before yo utell me I don't need to or you do it. I know the area better and I would prefer to handle the wood getting because I know where dead fallen trees can be found"

"Let me call you Eggs."

A roll of her eyes "Oh for the love of..why?"

A muscled shrug. "Nevermind."

"I got work to do.

"No, seriously, is it something you need? for some weird reason? I let you bully me you won't bully her, or is it something else?"

"I got -work- to do?"

"YEah, well, you were the one who brought the Eggs thing back up so now your work is delayed so I can actually get a straight answer on why you want that so bad"

Willy vents a long diatribe.

But does any of it answer the damn question?
