Work-sounds from the workshop.

Nadeen looks curiously at it. This is .. new to her.

It is a delight! Where once it was just a small workspace, it's started morphing into something new. The bones could be a modern, stylish hunting lodge, but Willy's impressions and style have already begun to grow onto it.

"How extraodinary" She lets slip

"THE FUCK!?!?!" The nocker spins and almost, ALMOST, lets fly with a 10 lb hammer across the room.

A brow, regal, slides up her face "I apologize. I should have knocked. I'm Baroness Nadeen Dancingsnow, ally and guest to the Baron."

The nocker DROPS the hammer (not on her foot, thank you, been there.....) and shoves her hand in her overall pockets. "Workin' here."

"You're Willy, right? "

"Yeah. Yes. Yeah."

"Nice to have a name, don't let me bother you, Willy. Keep working if you like"

She looks around "But this is really a nice set up. I have free run of the place but hadn't seen the changes here"

"Just... cleaned it up."

"Well, it's a wonderful job" She looks over the various tools but does not touch. And admires the work station "You must be very proud"

"Proud, Lady?"

"Fine tools, fine work place, and I am guessing you do good work. The Baron has a knack for getting quality people " nadeen kens the place a bit

It is... blessfully absent of the spiderweb of Calanthe-flavored glamour.

Fresh construction! Tarps over one wall to keep out the snow as they build the door large enough for horses to be shod... the fire kicked high keeps it cozy none-the-less. A nearly blank slate, ready for nockerish touches.

"Yeah.... yeah, well....." she mumbles "S'not drek here."

A haven from HER power. She thinks then nods "Well, I have clearly intruded. If you're not in the mood for company I can withdraw, Willy. I try to be on good terms with most of this hold and that would include yourself." She seems to mean it

"Thank you Lady."

"of course. Nice meeting you again, and I'm glad you like it here" She looks about once more. THe expression being like one looking at high ground during a flood warning, then she steps out

Willy mumbles a bit, and goes back to work.

Damn. Hammer, Right.

She retrieves that and THEN goes back to work.

Tink. Tink. Tink. The sound of her hammer hitting home is a friendly and familiar sound.

Tink. Tink. (crunch). Tink.

Crunch. Crunch.

Willy stops and investigates.

Crunch! From behind her, and off to one side. Another crunch as Briar takes a bite out of a spare bit of plywood, looking thoughtful as she chews it.

"Get out!" Firmly.

"Ur not th boss ob me." CRUNCH. "And this is SCRAP. So It's fair game."

"Whatcha making?"

"It's NOT scrap!"

"I was gonna use that."

She looks down at the bit left in her hand, and offers it to Willy. About the size of a palm now, rather than a 1.5' board.

"THAT'S not much use!"

"Just nail a few pieces together?"

Peering over at Willy's workbench. "Are you making a weapon?"

"Just... what..... nail.... pieces!??!!?"

"NO!!!"

"You can't just... @!O#!(&@(!&(*$%&%"

During the rant, pieces of metal in the shop heat up.

Briar 's eyes widen, but she's a redcap! They are the INTIMIDATING ones. Not the ones who get bossed around. "Well how was I supposed to know? You never give anyone the time of day! Maybe if you told me then I'd know, instead of acting like everyone else is something to scrape off your fuggin' BOOT." She snaps back.

"What? I'm here to WORK. My boots regardless or not!!!"

"Yeah but you don't need to be a JERKASS about it! I'm a REDCAP. What's YOUR excuse?!"

"NOCKER."

"Take your damn wood! It's dry and shitty anyways!" She throws the scrap on the ground and stomps out. Kicking over a metal lunchpail on her way so that the contents strew across the floor, and giving one of the taps a yank that pops a few rivets off, leaving it dangling so wind can blow in.

the thermos stays closed and rolls to a stop at a sawhorse, and the sandwich flops open sadly, cheese hitting the floor in a sad pile of sawdust.
