Baron Aiden finds himself with his mount and his favorite hounds, blood spattered but intact from where he ended up, at the end of a continued chase. Satisfied, he leads them back to their kennels and stalls for a much deserved rest.
Calanthe awakes in the woods - her sword bloodied, but alone - left behind by the hunt when they rode on. She needs must walk back.
Linnea awakens to pain - a nasty gunshot wound in her hip, as she is lifted and lain across the back of a horse. "Quit that. You'll get to healing more quickly if you don't fuss." Danica growls at her, though she takes care not to jostle more than needed. Her own axes are well bloodied and she looks satisfied.
Briar slumps in later in the morning - she has a new set of Red Caps that she claimed as trophy, each stained with more red than they started with. And one still has an ear within. She is well pleased, and stuffs the dogs with meat until they are all in satiated comas - knowing that today she shan't be scolded for spoiling them.
Gwen and D'lorean struggled to remember. They ran down their prey, which made the rookie mistake of trying to fight back. If they had ran, at least, and provided sport, it may have gone earlier on them... But there was good sport to be had in the fighting, such that there was!
There was a wild shot felling a Warrior Thane who fell from her horse. A mighty Chimera that loomed up, orange and yellow, swollen and cruel, bitterness and lies leeching from every orifice as it erupts from the minds of the people - and the Spearmaiden jumping to defend the Warrior, even as a flash of white barrels past, and the Rider's lance takes the Creature in small and piggish eye! The Maiden's spear thrust is the final blow, even as arrows pepper it and blades and hammers fly! Tiny hands, much too small for the body, flail as it deflates with the sound of a infantile whine and a smell like sewer gas, and it creeps away - not yet dead, but wounded, and defeated this day.
Later...
D'Lorean finds that when she goes to clean and replace her weaponry, there is a hockey stick amongst them! To mortals, that is. When she lifts it under her kenning, it is a lance with a blade of ice.
Gwen will find in her pocket something she doesn't remember picking up. A bobblehead of a rather ghoulish orange monster - not the one she fought that even now fades more from memory, but a muppet-esque hairy creature with bulging eyes. It holds a large, cracked bell. It is inscribed - "For showing true Grit." A keepsake, and when someone taps it on the head, it wobbles, and she feels buoyed up by courage, and filled with the strength of willpower.
