As he says this, his warm breath tickles the pale skin on her neck. He's definitely missed her. Shameless.

She curls, eyes falling half-closed.

"I shall be hunted, then."

"My delight, and my pursuit" he assures "Now, lady, what time shall we have dinner and a hunt?"

"Dusk, methinks."

"So darkness may gather about us, till only candlelight remains."

"how did that quote go? 'In daylight I belong to the world . . . in the night to sleep and eternity. But in the dusk I'm free from both and belong only to myself . . . and you'" And he kisses her ear tip softly.

She , of course, knows those words were crafted by Lucy Maud Montgomery, but they do sound quite lovely in a parmour's mouth

"A favorite, aye." She nuzzles his cheek. "Oh, that we must part in order to reunite. A cruel thing."

"I will make up for every cruelty you've endured with worship most kind tonight" He promises her

"Of this I have no doubt."

"Until then" He kisses her on the lips softly, then parts, proving truth to the quote Zara just said, "I have to prepare for a hunt most wondrous by Dusk."

"Thou must needs find me, my Hunter."

"I shall be waiting."

"Find you I shall, or exhaust myself in the attempt" he promises, and the two each go their own way, to prepare for Dusk.
