"Excellent." He jots it down. "I'll stop by, pick up a copy, put something together in the kitchen, and head over. And -you- my boy will ... well, finish your bottle if you like and then sleep. Yes? Promise?"

He makes a worried face, then nods slowly "I will. Please be careful with this, Emerson. She's my world"

"Kid gloves, my boy, kid gloves." He claps the satyr on the shoulder and slides off his barstool. "I'm off."

The Jukebox plays 'Sympathy for the Devil' as Stodgepoole rises.

And Caesar sighs "Bottle, sleep."

"Good plan!" and he heads out to pick up the book and then home to knock something April enjoys together.

By the time he has his copy... and is in the kitchen at his and CC's home, CC comes in "My son is an idiot" She grumbles. She clearly has been talking to April

"A drunk one." William confirms.

"Oh dear, a man his size has to TRY to get drunk, looks like he made it" A sigh "He insulted her intelligence on national TV. Did you know that?"

"Yes." And he debriefs Callidora about their conversation, showing her the book as he goes about putting together something for April.

she sighs as all her worst fears are confirmed "Well, she's furious. More than that, her TROLL is on." Knowing he'll know what that means "Kinain or not"

"Mmm. Stubborn."

"I was going to take something over to her but if you've been already perhaps that would look suspect?"

"Give it a try anyway. She's bright but I think part of her maybe LOOKING for a way out of this"

"An excellent insight." He cooks "How are the children?"

"Getting old enough to sense tension despite their parents best efforts."

"Most perceptive little ones."

"It varies... I took their mind off it with a visit and some toys"

"Mmm. At that age, that will work. Pity April and Caesar are older than that."

"Pity" She agrees

He works quickly and efficiently, and there's always the basis for a few good things in -this- kitchen. "Here we go.... and I'll pop it into a disposable container so she needn't worry about washing up."

"You're always thinking of the little things" She approves

"Given that you've seen her, what's the best approach?"

"Act ignorant of it at first, make it sound like we haven't talked about this."

He nods. "I'll go with Plan A, then." he kisses her on the cheek "Back as soon as I can."

She takes the kiss "I'll heal you up after if needed"

He chuckles but does not object. Out the door and off he goes.
