At the barn, the ironhawk house, the OTHER Kings's residence, a long haired satyress is talking to Sam's mom

"Not sure where she is, Masey, but it's nice to meet you" Tove says

"Well, I feel like I've got the edge on you in this meet and greet," Masey admits with a smile, "Dagmar's played some of your songs, and I was like 'oh I know her' . Been watching your videos for awhile."

"Oh I've fallen behind on those" Tove says "But flattered your a fan"

"Oh sure, I mean, I love stuff I can dance to, but some of your ballads just make me stop and get totally swept away in the feels" Masey assures

"So how did you and Dagmar met?" Tove inquires

"Dancing" masey grins

"Dan..dancing?" Tove's mother is surprised, and a bit delighted

"Sylvi and I each had introverts to coax out into the world, and we kind of exchanged notes on the care and feeding of introverts , the introverts had a few things to say about extroverts too, of course" A grin from the long haired satyress

"Oh my" Tove smiles "Well, you can't push too hard."

"Oh no, that's rule one" Masey nods "But your daughter's really cool, you know? SHe's like the great ideal...athlete, warrior, and there's a philospher there too. She's quick thinking." Masey remembers she can't act TOO in awe. It might embarrass Dagmar retroactively if she finds out Masey is gushing.

Still, the praise and admiration is obvious to Tove

"She's special" Tove nods "Always has been. There are days I think that there isn't anything my daughter can't do."

"Except maybe win at a limbo contest, but that's a tall person problem" Masey smiles, then lights up "Oh I am totally gonna try to get her into one. Not to make fun, but to see if she can prove me wrong"

A chuckle from Tove. She likes this long haired wild child.

"Right, you're gonna lose this game of horse so bad, short stuff, but keep talkin'..." Her voice carries, before the footsteps reach the porch stairs.

Tove says "Ah, speak of the angel and she'll fly in"

"Mo-om, Lupe's here..."

Another voice "PLEASE.... One ball, one swish. That's how i work" Lupe smirks

"Wonderful... she can meet your friend" Tove calls out

SNORT. She goes to open the kitchen door (who uses the front?)

"...Friend?"

"Big Hair girls unite" Masey calls out

She stops. And turns a rather vibrant shade of lavender (or rose, depending)

"Uh. Hi."

"Big hair girls?" Lupe says "Who IS that?" She opesn the door the rest of the way

Masey waves "HEY, Dagmar." Her own hair going past her waist as usual

"I.. uh.. I... that's Maisey."

"From. School."

"Uh."

"Masey, hey, Masey" Lupe walks up and offers Masey a fist bump "Name's lupe. Heard some about you" (lie?) "But not a lot. You a sports scholarship at Rutgers?"

'ha, no, wish I were " Masey fistbumps back

Masey leans over and looks at Dagmar "Bad timing on my part?"

"No?"

"Uh. This is Lupe."

"Great" Masey gets up and gives Dagmar a hug!

BLUSH.

Lupe sniffs the air a bit, then her eyes bug out

"Masey and I have been talking" Tove says "But now that you've got two friends here, how about I make some snacks and get drinks for all three of you? " Tove offers

"Snacks, sure."

"Thanks, Mrs. King" Lupe says, then turns back to Masey "So... you and Dagmar are GOOD friends huh?"

Masey looks over at Dagmar, and for a moment, Dagmar may wonder how open Masey will be about..everything, but then Masey says "Probably not as good as you and she are. I mean, I've only known her at school. But she's cool, and she tolerates extroverts like Sylvi and me" a smile

Playing it down so it helps Dagmar deal with any worry about too much said. Masey said somethings would stay between them. Looks like she keeps her word

"Masey's nice."

"I try to be" Masey shrugs "I have my days when I get mean but not oft en I hope. "

"Sure!"

"Anyway, I dropped by to ask if you were interested in hanging at that club again? You and Sylvi, of course. On a weekend?"

"Um, yeah?"

"Excellent. So you up to a dance contest for charity?" Masey says

"...what?"
