Club Zero is usually the place for a garou pack to hang out, but it's got great pizza so why shouldn't fae have a slice?

Laid back with old arcade games, dart boards and karokee options, it's got plenty of space to lose yourself. You can even go to one corner and put a quarter in an old Juke box. It's odd that retro should catch the youth but it's become a hang out

And Colton is there, tight jeans, pull over shirt that's just a bit classy.

He's picked out a private booth near the juke.

The bell over the door jingles as Sylvi steps in. The weather's still warm enough for her to wear a light and swingy summer dress and sandals -- autumn will come soon, so enjoy the warm-weather clothes before they get put away. It doesn't take her long to spot Colton, and she gives a little wave and smile before going over to meet him.

"Hey," she says as she joins him.

"Hey, already ordered your favorite, it'll be just a bit longer" he rises. His artificial arm is not something he hides "You... you look nice"

A smile at the compliment...almost a shy smile at that...and she says, "So you do." She slips into the booth across from where he was sitting.

Drinks are already here, "So, how are you doing? It's been awhile"

She takes a sip of her iced tea before responding. "I'm good, I guess. I've been kind of all over the place this summer. And there's been some stuff going on around here that's..." a pause, and a sigh "...well, I can't really talk about all of it, but it's been interesting." A wry grin. "And school's starting up again soon." Another sip. "How about you? You're good?"

He looks about to make sure they are not being listened in on, but he picked a good booth for that, "Dark Gate looked like it had it's problems licked, sealed the gate tighter than ever, fighting the fell. Helping cultivate a few dreamers then.. boom.. we got even busier. Turns out a lot of folks expect the Chief to rule, not just shield or build." A bit amused "Suddenly we're doing more work of a standard hold/lodge. We a request to settle a dispute over dross rights. Can you believe it?"

Amused. "How's Hewitt dealing with that? He's more of a warrior than an executive."

"And more of a crafter than either of those."

"Just so" Colton leans forward as if his Chief could hear from Upstate New York "I now know whole new Scotts Gaelic curse words and phrases. Some of which I'm sure he's making up. It can be very hard to keep a straight face sometime. I mean, I'm storm, if it's not about security, or fighting I'm usually not in the hotseat"

She leans in to hear, and laughs quietly. "I can almost hear him now. Glad you get to dodge it."

"He and Lanea are still together, right?"

"oh yes. They're ..not fooling anyone, but we respect them enough that we do" He says warmly "As for me, I'm doing okay. Getting my own education"

"Oh? How's that going?"

"Keeping it at C level, so Swimmingly?"

She laughs. "Cute. Oh! Did you hear? Piper's pregnant. Twins!"

"Wait, TWINS? I heard she was pregnant... I didn't know it was twins." He blinks "Holy crap. Oh man, I don't know if Zane knows this or not, but I hope not"

"Why? You think he'll decide he needs to be down here for her or something?"

"No... this is my chance to get an inside on the betting pool... no one has bet on twins. I'm talking 20 to 1 odds as a sure win easy here" he says delighted

he pulls out his phone "I'm gonna text this wager in before they find out "

She laughs. "Okay, I won't stand in the way of your fiendish plan, you sneak!"

"Someone once told me I didn't have to be so straight laced ALL the time" he reminds "Well, here's al ittle crooked"

She leans back and sips her iced tea, watching him as he texts.

He seems truly amused... and their pizzas arrive. One done entirely her way

Mind you, it's not a large

"Oh, perfect! I thought you were going to order me a slice, but I'm definitely hungry." She thanks the server before picking up a slice and taking a bite.

"Mmm. Perfect. How's yours?"

"Delicious" He says taking a bite of his own "I figured we could box them to go later. I know G.F. has a food demand"

"Yeah, I was thinking the same. Food, especially good pizza, will never go to waste there."

A few quiet moments of eating.

He watches her now and then, memories dancing in his mind for a moment

She catches that look...and blushes a bit. She puts the slice down and wipes her lips with a napkin for a moment before looking back at him again. "So."

He blushes a bit himself "...yeah"

A sip of ice tea...stalling?...and then she says, "We...um...said that we were going to, like, check-in. After a year."

"Yeah" a nod, and he says it again "how... how do you..." A hapless look "I can bench press like an olympian but I can't say this right. Did you miss me? did you miss us?"

Another blush and smile at that hapless look. "Yeah, this is kind of awkward." She tilts her head and regards him more seriously. "Sometimes, yes."

"Whatever else comes, thank you for that much" Colton says to her

"Well, it's true." A pause. "And...um...you?" Awkward blush. "I mean, I know when we talked...but since?"

"Some times I don't think about you for a week.. or more, not really... " Colton answers "Then... suddenly, there's a song, or even just a sound. I see a pair of red shoes of all things , or the way a tree casts a shadow ...and my mind goes racing back and... I miss you very much .I miss us very much then. It's... weird."

Then "Not weird, just.. you'd think it would be.. I don't know.. less stumbling?"

"Yeah," she says with some relief that he's explained it so well.

A deep breath. "But."

"But the year is over, so where do we stand?"

She bites her lip for a moment.
