Olgar nods, then says "We should see the kitchen on our way out, don't you think?"

"Oh, yes, let's. I'm so looking forward to this auction." A beat. "I'll be happy to have all this Dickering Done."

And CHAOS breaks out. As if the magic can sense she is speaking to all of them, over a dozen mortals turn back to their true forms in confusion!

Kerri jumps back 'in surprise'...and just happens to slam into the sidhe as she does so.

Hoping to jostle her further.

Then she gets back to Olgar's side.

Trolls are strong, and the sidhe is knocked to her ass!

Olgar has slammed hands against a wall and a new door opens, one mortals or fae can fit through to get out!

Kerri knows she outranks these mortals! She keeps it simple, pointing at the portal and ordering them to "Go go go!"

And they do!

'Treachery!" The male sidhe callso ut, even as the guard draws a weapon

She covers their retreat, watching the sidhe and guard, but is ready to go through the portal as soon as the others are all through.

Olgar motions "Go ... if I go through it closes after..." and so she must

She does!

She finds herself in the hallway near the kitchen. Why did her husband stress that? She can ignore it, and head for an exit or head to the kitchen itself

She's no fool -- she knows that he knows what he's talking about. She heads for the kitchen, ordering the mortals to follow her.

They do... she sees Lisselle's chef's hat on a coat rack

That...that seem significant. She goes over and grabs the Chef's hat.

She does...and something comes to mind

She's not just the Dame... she's CHEF. And she's now in a kitchen! Add to it the 'crown' of that hat, and she outranks...

everybody!

It's the new Soveriegn discoveery she had told Clem off. A chief is as good as a Baron. A chef? Perhaps as good as a Duchess! As long as you're in the right spot

OH! Oh, YES!

She puts the chef's hat on, and turns to the mortals. "Everybody, get ready to move, but stay in one place for now. Whatever happens, do what I say."

THey nod, and..

the auctioneers and attendees burst it. One points at her, "Surrender!"

And... it doesn't work

Whatever rank the woman is, it's for freeholds, not kitchens

She grins. "No. You surrender to me."

And a gasp... as the incoming threats are overwhelmed and drop their weapons and stop their cantrips

Olgar walks in, and says "ladies and gents, my wife"

He looks STUPIDLY smug

He has wounds too, but doesn't seem to care

"Hi, honey." She's concerned about the wounds, but frankly, she's seen him look worse coming in from a trod. Then she looks to the other fae. "Tell me your names, your houses, and the ones you're working for."

And they recite, a litany of Leanhaun, some balor and Ailil...

but a few seelie houses too
