Kerri checks her bag quickly to make sure she still has the mask she mooched from the piskie.

She does! it shimmers with glamour.

She doesn't touch it directly, but holds it through the fabric of the bag, and casts Willow Whisper with the verse, "Why should the world be over-wise,
In counting all our tears and sighs? Nay, let them only see us, while We wear the mask."

It sparks and readies to answer

Olgar is telling lisselle "its a bit nuts. I know. Hang on"

"Whose tool are you?"

"The Auctioneers" It says simply

"And how is your magic undone?"

Almost stubbornly... it says simply "One must give the proper command word"

"And what is the proper command word?"

She tries to keep the annoyance out of her tone.

"Dickering done" It whispers

"Thank you," she says and closes it up in the bag again. Then she turns to face Lisselle and Olgar again. "It's important that we get you somewhere that they won't think to look for you."

"Who are THEY?" She asks

"Whoever sent these two goons," she gestures at the redcap and piskie.

"I don't have too many answers, but I need to know -- can you trust us to help you?"

"I.. I just met you? I mean.." she seems unsure

(Charism plus Empathy or Persuasion)

"I swear to you on my best recipe, we're really trying to protect you."

A normal person might laugh at that, or stare as if she were crazy, but Chef to Chef? it works "I trust you"

Kerri gives a firm nod. "Good."

She looks to Olgar. "We need these two to be somewhere else, far away," she says, indicating the goons. "And then we probably need to split up. You keep watch over the Chef, and I go take care of the other half of this business."

Olgar frowns, but nods slowly "if that's how you want to play it?"

"Do you think you can get her somewhere safe so you can go in with me?"

She turns to Lisselle. "Sorry, don't mean to talk about you as if you weren't here."

"Don't know the territory or the locals well enough to be... well, there's Hiro but I don't want to put them in danger" He frowns

"I don't know how you two can protect me from kidnappers. Are you Police in disguise or something?" Lisselle asks

"Or something," Kerri nods.

"Hiro helped us get here, but I don't know enough about him aside from that."

"I'm willing to entertain alternative ideas, hon," she says to Olgar.

Olgar ponders "I could help her see things like we do and put her in a ..pocket'

"A pocket?" Lisselle blinks

"Kind of a bolt hole" he says "With silver decor"

She considers that. "Much safer, yes, and...and it might make a few things clearer for you, for the moment anyway," she says to Lisselle. "You're going to want to freak out at first. Just remember -- I swore that we're here to help." Then she nods to Olgar.

Olgar says "Hold this" He says an dputs a pen in her hand

She takes it

And enchants, finding she's now holding a dagger at an ogre's chest

"Don't hurt him," Kerri says calmly. "I prefer my husband unperforated whenever possible."

SHe gasps then looks over at Kerri, over and UP and UP

"Remember," the tall, blue, horned woman says quietly. "I swore that we're here to help. It's still me."

"I.. I believe you" She says, glittering with enchantment

"It's a relief." Olgar says, then looks at his wife "I can construct a secure spot in the Near Dreaming now"

Kerri nods. "Thank you, hon."

"Don't suppose you can drop these two on the Silver?" indicating the goons.

Olgar nods then grins "I know where to put them too"

She grins back, and then kisses him on the cheek before letting him get to work.

"Lisselle, you're going to forget most of this, but for right now, think of it as if you're looking at a different facet of the world. It's always there, but not always seen."

Olgar takes the kiss gratefully. Winks. Then begins to cast a cantrip.

Lisselle looks over at Kerri and says "it's ... I think I've dreamed something like this before... i was very young"

"It's possible," Kerri nods with a reassuring grin. "What did you see in that dream?"
