There are inflight movie options, music pumped through headsets. More wine if she wants, but mostly there is dwindling green below, replaced by the great grey swelling atlantic, and the sky growing dark as they head east

She watches the sky for a while, catching sight of any flying chimera that might be passing by, but eventually settles in to watch the movie while holding hands with him.

It's a long flight with no obligations, no duties to perform. She's a bit restless at first.

She thought she saw a sea serpent below but if she did it submerged fast

It's also 11 hours, and her husband works to relax her so she can enjoy the movie and sleep after

She lets him know quietly about the sea serpent. And eventually, the decadence of vacation seeps into her mind (with Olgar's assistance), and soon her head is on his shoulder and she snores lightly.

OLgar stays awake a bit longer. HIS Duty right now is to make sure she can ease up on hers. Hypocritical ? Sure. the joy of being unseelie means you never have to play fair, but an hour later he drifts too

Kerri wakes up feeling surprisingly uncramped considering where she's been sitting

A moment of disorientation. Where...? But she quickly readjusts. She sits up and looks over at him.

He's sleeping

but a light sleep. His 'guard' sleep. How he does that she's not sure. He also has a deep sleep mode ...apparently it's a difference and rovers and some soldiers have this option

She's familiar with both of these. The first time he actually let himself fall into deep sleep when they were together...well, that was when she fell a little bit more in love with him.

She doesn't want to disturb him, so she returns to looking out the window.

And that's when she sees the creature on the wing...ner the engine. Shades of Shatner!
