Frank nods; he will do as she says.

She glances at him enough to see the nod, gives a brief nod in return, then goes back to inspecting the Kestrel, putting the boat between herself and Frank.

The boat seems fine. That owl may have left a digested pellet

You should be taken out sailing more, she thinks as she runs a hand over the boat. I have neglected you.

"Mmm."

It's tempting... the ship can rise above the Chief's concerns

She doesn't deserve it.

Meanwhile, another Kestrel, their trueheart bird, does damage control, fluttering back betwen Frank and her, gentle quite reassuring strokes with its head

Frank knows the worth of his TrueHeart.

A deep breath. Samhain is heavy on her this year. She had thought such a good Pennons might stave this off a bit longer. Foolish.

"Go.... boat?"

Her brow furrows and she moves to where she can see him. "What do you mean?"

"You want to go... boat. To ou...the boat."

She looks up towards the deck, then shakes her head. "We cannot. We have duties."

The two stay in the boathouse for a time. The silence may be somewhat awkward...but they are together.
