She catches the look, and her cheeks color again. "Damn," she breathes then gives a slight laugh. "You are very good at that." She tastes his food. "Mm."

Truth be told, her mind's not exactly focused on the meal, not entirely.

Oxtail in rice is a new one for her, but not bad, but no, that's not where her mind is

"I'm told I have game, but let's face it," he savors the catfish, then says "I have good taste"

"I won't disagree," she says. Another sip of water, then after she sets the glass back down she idly runs her fingertip along the rim of the glass. She regards him for a long moment.

his eyes drift to watch her finger circling before going back to her eyes "Whatever you're thinking right now, I hope you're having a good time"

"Mm." A noncommittal sound, her head tilting side to side for a moment. "So...I'm mostly used to other trolls. It's not always easy to figure out what we're really thinking because, sometimes, we don't say much at all, or we cover up with only half of what we're thinking. So my mind's wondering how much of this is just playing chicken on your part, seeing how much you can say before I bail. But then...you're not a troll," she points out reasonably.

"And...I'm not in much of a mood to bail-out. Samhain," she points out again.

"No I ain't a troll" He nods "and I'm not exactly covering. UP to you how fast this collusion goes, but If you're hoping I blink, ...ever see Titanic?"

An amused sound. "The guy doesn't come out too good in the end of that."

"Oh I'm a modern man, you can share that table or whatever it was" A grin

She grins back, and offers him another bite of catfish, this time off her fork.

He curls his tongue just a bit, then swallows it, and pops it off "mmm"

Her eyes twinkle. He's playing her, and she doesn't mind in the slightest. "Glad you like."

"You care for a bit of tail?" He offers the oxtail bit "Oxtail that is?"

It is now on his fork for her to choose

Amused. "Don't mind if I do." She keeps eye contact with him until her lips close around the fork, then her eyelids close as she draws back, savoring the taste. "Mmmm."

"Damn" He mutters under his breath

a lusty breath indeed

She looks at him again, enjoying his reaction.

Oh, She can tell he's reacted. He's probably glad his lap is under the table "After this, you want to...go somewhere? A walk maybe?"

"A walk sounds great," she says, her fingertip playing across the top of her glass again. "And...I think maybe I'm done," she says. "With the meal."

"I think, so too. Want a to go box to take back to college with you?"

"Sure, good idea." And if the catfish doesn't keep well, Symon can enjoy it.

And a to go box is made, the check comes do, and he says "Mind if I get the bill? "

A brow. "I thought we were both paying..." but it doesn't sound like she's arguing.

"Well, it did turn into a date" He admits with a smile "So I figured it might be more fair. Your call though"

"It turned into something," she agrees. "Although maybe it started out like that, anyway. I'll pay for yours."

"Okay, cool" And they pay, and head out, walking together

"So, where were you thinking for walking?" Sylvi says. It really is a nice mid-October early evening.

"Well, how about one of the private trails in the woods. I know some girls get nervous when a guy talks like that, but given how hard you hit with a spear, I don't think you need to be scared" A grin

"Well, there's also the fact that I'm pretty close with your cousin, and if you did something that felt like a threat, she'd have something to say about it later."

"The woods sound perfect," she agrees.

"oh yeah, you do not want to piss Piper off...your name will be slandered for a thousand years, or at least as long as her song about what a loser you are stays in" He takes her hand and kisses the knuckles "I'll be good... one way or the other. Pick your definition"

A slight breath catch as he kisses her knuckles, then a grin. "Fair enough. So, which private path, exactly?" she asks with a slightly innocent tone.

"I was thinking the one by the stream"

A smile and a nod. "Lead the way," she says again, as she did on the way to the restaurant, but a bit more quietly this time.

And off they go, into a more... private path

Sylvi's gotten quieter, and she glances over at him from time to time as they walk.

"One wonders," she says eventually in a storytelling, sing-song tone, "how many mortal girls the satyr has lured this very path."

A look at her, then, "You think I'm going announce, maybe in cadence, what number you must be as if I'm keeping a score? Oh yeah, I am not the smartest goat around but girl I'm smarter than that" A grin "Sides.. I don't go for quantity" He strokes Sylvi's cheek "I go for quality"

She tilts her head into the touch, eyes closed, and gives a short, shuddery sigh. "Damn," she says with a grin. "Yup. You absolutely have game."

"One tries" He's not a short guy, athletic, but she is a troll, so he has to lift up on his hooves to taste her lips

She tilts her head to meet his lips, but a bit awkwardly. Nervous? The not-shy girl?

The kiss is not unpleasant, warm, lingering... tasting just a bit of the food they had but not, fortunately, in a bad way

It's the first kiss she's had from a guy since she and Colton

The kiss lingers for a moment, but then she pulls back a bit reluctantly. "This...maybe this is a mistake," she says apologetically as the autumn evening closes in around them in the secluded area by the stream.

"Did I come on to strong?" He asks concerned

"Oh, geez, no." She shakes her head emphatically. "And I really want to. I mean...yeah." A blush, desire mixed with embarrassment. "But...it's just weird. I've...um...only been with just one guy...." she tries to explain.

"See, maybe it's the satyr in me talking but the answer I want to give is 'there's a cure for that lack of experience'" then more seriously "I thought you and Colton were off. I wouldn't get between trolls who were currently an item. Ya'll get intense about it"
