And then suddenly... Gray is there! Who told Scathach they could be quiet. He picks her up

"Young lady that is quite enough"

She wonders... if she grabs their fin and holds her breath, will it take her underground? Will she be buried alive, or crushed? But before she can test this, she is grabbed!

"No! No! Let go! LET GO! They'll hurt you!"

And indeed, the sharks circle

Not a threat, but a frightened warning!

"I'm going to take them away. Let me down!"

"They might... but that's a risk I'm willing to take. I'm not letting someone the Baroness loves end up starving or eaten by lanndsharks..." He gestures "Redfang.. catch"

And Grete is HIGH in the air!

Hopscotched!

A SHRIEK! She does NOT like HEIGHTS

OH there is ZERO ground up here

"HELP!" She can't help crying out, it's like she's floundering! "I can't feel the ground!"

"Damn it boy we are going to have words.." Redfang starts to say then sees the Wichtel coming his way and he ....

well he was going to catch her, but Little Joe steps up and does so first "Relax, little one. You're free of the sky now"

She clings to him, he's SOLID, and almost as good as a boulder. "Did they get away? I have to get them away."

"They got away, save for one" Litle joe says "The shovel headed one? It... doesn't want to leave you"

but the other landsharks have gone... be it intellect or instinct, they know they are not wanted

"Let me down, I gotta see her." Is it a her? Grete doesn't know, but she's the biggest or the coolest, so of course it should be a her.

"Well, I'll hop scotch this one back into the pen..." Gray is saying

Grete is set down

She runs over to Gray and KICKS him in the shin. "YOU STOP THAT!"

"First. ow. Seconndly, stop that. Third, you are in enough trouble"

"You leave her ALONE. I don't care if I'm in trouble."

The shovel head cuts through the rock and goes near Grete's feet playfully

She sets her feet firmly above the fin and GLARES up at Grey. "If you put her in your cage you gotta put me in there too."

Gray raises a brow "Little Joe... you're introuble too"

"Figured" Little joe admits

"But for now, go inside and see if the baroness is available. Tell her Grete wants to claim right of haven and life for a single shark"

"You going to be okay, Grete?" Little Joe asks

"I..." She looks a little confused, and still worried. "I can do that?"

"It's rare, but chimera are of the dreaming"

She sets her chin. "Then I claim right of haven and life for Rockhammer."

you can't kill something if it has a NAME? right? At least you shouldn't....she hopes

Little Joe has gone off to ell

Grete is walking in small figure 8's... following the shark's pattern as it swims, and shooting suspicious glances at Redfang and Dubh. They won't sneak attack on her watch. They probably wouldn't anyway... but she'll just make sure.

Dubh looks a bit amused

Little Joe comes ou with a bathtub annd fills it with sand "Rockhammer may see the baroness now"

And soon, a shark, and Grete will be going in for an audience
