August is very focused on not dropping River, but spares Coradel a smile.

River coos.. ferociously

"I'm betterr. I'm ready to get to work." She fusses

"Ah." His eyes drop back to River, just in case she was about to bounce off onto her head with that coo.

"Well, I don't doubt it," she says to Claire. "How do you want to work that?"

"I think she needs ttime by tthe bale to finish things off for her healing or maybe a heather balm" Magnus says

Coradel nods to Magnus, but asks Claire, "Do you agree?"

"Or both." August murmurs.

"Fine..."

She huffs

Coradel blinks. "Claire, I'm going to listen to what you say. I know you'll keep the best interest of yourself and the baby in mind. I'm not interested in twisting your arm."

"My ailil pride tells me I can do this NOW... sense tells me a heatherbalm won't hurt and is smart"

"You could do this now," Coradel nods. "It'll be easier to do it in a little bit, after a heatherbalm. I urge you to treat yourself." She winks.

"Please" Her fiona husband adds

"Fine, I will be coddled a bit more, and undergo the heatherbalm annd such"

"Oops."

"Oops?" Coradel looks sharply to make sure the baby is fine.

Indeed, EVERYONE is looking

"Ah. Can someone take her? She needs a change."

Coradel looks to Magnus. "Sounds like you're up, Papa."

"I've done dirtier jobs" He declares "Come here, honey" And takes her almost happily "Not looking forward to when the odor is put in the poop. I hear i does get therre"

August stands and follows Magnus to the changing area, observing.

Coradel takes Claire by the arm and murmurs to her, "Thank you for agreeing to that. Yes, it'll help you feel better faster, but it will also reassure Magnus. Now...we'll need to figure out what sort of duty schedule will work for you. I suppose we might try a few different things before we settle on something that works, hm?"

"I'm still captain of your guard, I can set the schedule" She fusses

"Of course!" Coradel says this with absolute confidence. Then she looks at the tableau at the changing table and grins.

And he hands over a wipe. Three, actually.

Then a bit of a sigh. "I just wanted to check in quickly. I have to get back over to the Plaza and have a Talk with dear Cousin Chelsea." The sarcasm is thick.

Magnnus says "HOw on earth does so much come out of one little girl on a liquid diet?"

"Is that.... normal, do you think?"

A grin. "Perhaps I'd better depart while they're both focused." She kisses Claire on the cheek.

CLaire nods "Don't take any crap" A beat "Unlike Magnus annd I who have on choice"

"Wait, what about that spot......" he passes another wipe. This is going to be the cleanest tushy ever.

A brief laugh, then she sneaks up behind August and kisses his ear. "Back in a bit," she murmurs, then pats Magnus on the shoulder, and heads out the door.

"Oh right, Good catch"

And off she goes

He turns to Coradel. "Ah, oh, you..... Hm." She's gone.

"She's gone to face Chelsea" Claire tells them

"Oh .... damn." he mutters "Magnus, Claire, please excuse me?"

"Of courrse"

"hanks for the help with the diaper"

And August is gone...

......... At the plaza

At the bar, in her best 'I have Cleavage, buy me a drink' outfit, Chelsea is getting free booze
