SIv rolls her eyes and walks up to the door , then looks at Piper "So.. uhm. I guess you better be the one who knocks?"

She nervously raises a hand, drops it, and then just shakes her head, "What AM I doing??" And simply pushes the door open and yells, "Ma, Momma, we're home!"

And she ended up shouting almost right into their faces as they wait, amused, right behind the door!

"Piper, darlin', you're wasting away! Now I KNOW it can't be because they haven't been feeding you over in Jersey, not with what you've told me about that Miz Kerri's cooking. And anyone who can cook for a peck of trolls should be able to keep meat on my little girl's bones!"

An older Satyr lady is now sweeping Piper up in a hug. No one would place them as relatives apart - while she does resemble Basil, she couldn't look less like Piper unless they were a different Kith - until one watches them together. Chocolatey brown skin, tightly curled hair that is braided on her head and a downy fuzz on her goat legs and tail, and horns and hooves are of a brassy complexion.

"You know she doesn't eat meat anymore, Viola. Put her down, let them in." Behind her, another satyr lady, this one with tanned skin freckled over her nose, hair and fur of golden amber honey, with mahogany horns and hooves.

Siv takes a breath "Hello. I'll try to sugar coat her brussel sprouts if it will help?"

Jonas nods quietly a hello

The hugger - Viola? Sets Piper down and oh, she's already hugging Siv. "You must be Siv, c'mon now get inside. We generally keep the windows open but I turned on the AC for you, I hear some of you nordic types run a bit warm blooded - or should I say hot-blooded, miz Fiona Knight?"

Vera chuckles and comments with a southern twang that California hasn't managed to eradicate from her voice, "Sugared brussel sprouts sound awful, and I hope that's not a family recipe I'm dissing. I'm making southern fried chicken and all the fixins, and Viola made a jambalaya, so I hope you both brought your appetites."

Both Trolls and young satyr herded inside!

Siv blushes lightly "Well, I'm rather warm towards your daughter, we both are. This is Jonas annd.. the sugardbrusel sprouts was a joke."

"Salutations" Jonas says as they go in "This is a nice place"

It is nice! Not modern, not fancy renovated - but a pleasant and homey duplex, in an area increasingly surrounded by condos and apartment rentals. Filled with tchotchkes and knickknacks, photos and good smells of good food.

"Oh, it does well enough for us. They keep coming at us to sell, but I don't care what they offer, this is our home. Piper's too, for all that she ran off..." Vera says with a smile.

"Mom, I...." Piper starts, but it's Viola that butts in, "We just miss you, is all." "I miss you too, Mama. ... this is Siv - Lady Captain Siv Waveborn, and Jonas, protector and guardian of Rivervale." Jonas may not give himself any titles or grandeur, but that's not going to stop Piper from giving credit where it's due!

Jonas' brows shoot up "I'm just one of manny that perform that service"

"He's also annoyingly modest" Siv says "And your daughter might not brag for herself so I will. She's brought music, laughter and even taken rises on behalf of the lodge. Did you know she won a music contest in Tijuana while representing us?"

(AFK till 730 or so)

"One of many, sure, but that doesn't make it any less so!" Piper grins, but then blushes herself as Siv speaks up. "I came in third, that's not really winning. But I played my best, and that was pretty darn well, and that's the important thing."

Viola BEAMS at that. "That's my girl."

Vera is scooching furniture around in the living room, and Viola goes to help. The two satyrs quietly quibbling at each other, but they move around each other and the home like gears in a well-oiled machine, years of familiarity and comfort. "Here, you two take the couch, Piper, you can have pop-pop's armchair, and-

"And I'll check on supper." Viola adds, sliding past into the kitchen.

"You were the favorite for a lot of folks" Siv humphs

Jonas looks up "VIola, do you require help in the kitchen?"

"Sure thing, sweetie. Come on in." Viola leads Jonas to the kitchen, where he will find himself wearing an apron shortly...

Vera looks to Siv. "So, you're a Fiona knight? Trained at Earthrunes, I hear?"

Jonas works quietly and helpfully. No Apron shame.

"Yes, Ma'am," Siv answers "I had that honor. Baroness Coradel was a kind mentor in the house, but I was trained in a lot of things in Rivervale before. Raher proud of my family heritage" She confesses "Piper will probably warn you how I'll go on about my parents and sister if you let me. She tells me you both are musicians too?"
