Adam can at least give the swanmay his cloak to warm her, if she won't stay somewhere warm. "Your sister, she's in there?" he asks to confirm "I'll go get her."

"She is, please"

"Take care of her." Adam tells Alanza, and jumps in.

"Screw you, I'm a hero too!" Alanza is already going into the cave

The two slip and slide...

and find it... the thing looks like a red eyed yeti... but it is clearly wearing clothes and ornaments of some sort, bones and ice?

"Well, hello there?" It rasps

"Woah....." Adam draws his blade but doesn't threaten. "Hello?"

"It talks" Alanza says surprised, then hisses "Adam.. look at the ice down here"

Adam risks a glance; mostly he wants to keep an eye on the yeti.

He sees great chunks of ice, nearly a half dozen people frozen in it. All children

"Shit. We gotta get them out of here!"

"My collection, you like?" The yeti tthing says "You see, the seeds of spring must have stand ins... and children do so well for that purpose"

"Your... collection?" Adam is outraged and growing angry. "These are -kids-!!!"

"yes..." the creature says "Obviously, now, shall we be.. Civilized?" the bones clatter against i's chest as it moves, like gold medals on a geneneral's vest

Alanza's eyes narrow "You maybe civlizized, but you're a monster if you think to kidnap and imprison children"

"What do you want to let them go?"

"Nothing.. they're the prize. You don't trade what you WANT for something you don't want. I am saying that, with these children, wehn the time is righ, the Dreaming migh prosper. You see, Winter is not evil... but but some link it with Banality. In truth, with these, I can in time turn Winter eternal into a wonderful place.. in time. Of course, the seeds of Spring needs must be sacrificed, but not right away. Turn around, go home...and I? I shall save the dreaming"

"Not happening." And now Adam -does- go on guard.

"On bother.." And the thing unclicks it's claws

And the fight is on! Thankfully, both sidhe and Eshu have SOME light armor, it might just keep them alive.

After dancing (and sex) together, maybe Adam and Alanza have found the rhythm that works well with each other. An awareness of the other's body, the telegraphed movements that say where they -will- be.

She strikes one flank low , while he takes the other high! The creature, despite it's 'civilized' veneer HOWLS in pain as it is cut!

Adam has always been protective, engaged, with childlings; to see them captive and bound.... he cannot abide this!

And Adam does what sidhe does, he FLASHES imperiously.. and the Yeti backs up startled .. just for a moment

"LET THEM GO!"

Adam points at the yeti with his blade-tip, ordering him to back down and submit.

Alanza on the other hand is still attacking.. the Yeti howls again

Adam renews his attack!

"Fools! I'm saving the dreaming.. " The Yeti slashes a chunk out of the Eshu, only to get what might be a kidney speared by Adam's thrust!

"ALANZA!" When he sees her injured.

Oh, this yeti is going DOWN.

It turns to bite down on Adam with it's mouth, but that proves to be a mistake. "Sometimes," Bachdion's voice echoes in his memory "A foe will give you an opening he doesn' even realize is an opening. Be quick, and strike fast, and you can show appreciation for his gift that he won't live long enough to regret"

And so, Adam's blade goes through the now open mouth of the Yeti, and how through the back of it's thick skull before sliding out again

And the creature howls no more, as it breaks into glamour.. and the ice cave starts to crack and shatter, the children falling from their cages

"Alanza?!?!" He tries to check on her even as he seeks to catch children.

"I'll be okay, let's get these kids before the cave collapses!" She grabs one

Adam nods and gets to rescuing..... but keeps an eye on Alanza when he can.

Alanza casts quicksilver on both.. something odd about that.. and speeds them up to move to get the kids out faster.

Adam works hard, and maybe the kids don't get settled down like feathers but those he can help won't die in this cave.

And when it collapses behind them, the kids and them safe above ground again, Alanza drops "ow"

Adam scrambles over to her, checking. " 'Lanza?"

"Hey, you're gonna be fine....."

She's packing hte wound with snow "Yes.. fine. Let's get these kids home and..."

"I can heal" A voice says, one he's only heard a little

Adam pauses in the act of stripping off his shirt to help Alanza bind the wounds. He looks around to see who spoke.

The Swanmay comes up "Least I can do"

" 'Lanza, let her help you." And to the swanmay "Did we get your sister?"

"You did" The Swanmay says

Adam stands and looks back towards the cave mouth.
