"Vaguely. Wasn't really my thing, you know? Still, we'll gather this up, take it back. And this." She examines the egg before touching it to pick it up.

It's an odd shaped egg, not chicken, nor serpent, almost crystline

She picks it up carefully and puts it in her helmet for safekeeping.

It cracks open! And the thing leaps at her face!

Then ssays "I WUB U"

"AAAHH!!!" Jess flings the helmet away and grabs at the facehugger.

She pulls it loose, it is.. actually kind of plushy like.. with a happy face...

She stares at it.

It wiggles and giggles "Hugs?"

"I .. I can't even" Tig shakes his head as he looks up from gathering the starmetal

"What do I do with it??"

"I don't know..." He says "But you get dibs"

"Thanks?" Jess looks at it, nonplussed, and puts it in her helmet again. "Stay."

"coo?" But it stays

Jessica helps pick up the remaining star metal.

And thus loaded, the two make their way down later.

"So how is it going? I mean..everything. Folks will want to know"

"Can you stay a while? I mean, do you have to get back?"

"Guess not." he says amused "Oh, and who is this DUFF guy I hear about?"

Not said like a jealous ex.. more like a protective guy friend

"Didn't you meet him when you were here? He's, um, my boyfriend. For a few years now."

"Yeah, haven't really MET him.. years?" A susprised look "you and a guy for years?"

"I figure if you can stay a couple days we can catch up properly. And yes. It doesn't seem like years but.... I guess it must have been." She touches the one earring she wears. "Just about since the beginning."

"Huh" A nod "Good on you. Did you know Lut was living with a mortal? I mean, they moved in together. "

"I think Siv mentioned something about it last time I saw her, yeah." Jessica stops by her downed motorcycle. "You want to take the helmet, or walk the bike?"

"I'll walk the bike." He says "Man, talk about breaking up the team. the nerve of that guy, falling in love. I knew he'd come to no good"

A faint smile. "How about you, you seeing anyone?"

"Oh you know me, this bird you cannot tame and other dead folk songs. There's a few girls in the apartment complex I check out, but ah.. you know. "

Acting cocky, a bit wistful

Jess squeezes his shoulder with her free hand. "You're a good guy, Tig. It'll happen."

"Ah, thanks, nice to know I still have you fooled. " A twitch of a smile and they make their way to Fenix

Jessica chuckles.

Once in the 'Hold, she looks for Maria or Nancy or someone.

Nancy says "You're back, you were out for awhile I.. oh, hi" She eyes Tig "I'm nancy"

"Tig, Nancy. Nancy, this is Tig, a friend from Rivervale. He's going to stay a few days." Jess has fresh scratches on her face and hands, her bike was walked into the atrium, and she's carrying her helmet.

"And you both need healing" Nancy puts her hip on her hands "Good thing this place is healing central. I'll set up a room for you, Tig. Nice to meet you."

"Very nice to meet you, Nancy" He smiles "And you should see the other guys"

"I'm fine, Nancy, just scratches. Take care of Tig. And, um, we need to figure out what to do with this." She holds up the helmet.

"Oh," She peeks and opens "What do we have in.. GAH!"

whomp FACE HUG "I WUB U!"

Tug fights the urge to laugh

"Shoot." She puts the helmet down and tries to peel it off Nancy. "Let go! Let go!!"

It does.. "WUUUUB"

Nany blinks "What the hell is.. okay.. that is DISTURBINGLY cute, and morbidly affectionate"

"What do we -do- with it? I mean.... if we had enough sluagh.... maybe Ahpuh (sp?) would like it?"

"At least Apuch could squirm free.. " She agrees

"I'll check with him. In the meantime....." she looks in the helmet. Carefully. "A terrarium or what?"

"Something with a lid I'd suggest.. this thing leaps" She wrinkles her nose

"It seems.... affectionate."
