"I did not say it was a -good-- strategy. And yes, mI assure you, it can. Particularly if a True Name is involved."

"But most namers work for the nobles" The girl is quick.

"This SUCKS" She declares. Not meaning the food, of course

"Noted."

"Well.. what do we do about it?" Rose asks "I got the gemstone. I can feed the prole.. protery.. the workers"

The older Bogan glances at the curvaceous saytr, and turns back to the dishes.

CC looks at him, and gives him a 'go on' nod.

He catches it from the corner of his eye and turns back, grumpily. "I suppose you take you treasure and go help others and turn not to get caught. You should leave the area as soon as you can." A pause. "I can give you some supplies."

"What kind of supplies?"

"Food."

"Okay, that's good" She says

CC motions William to join her for a sec at the deeper end of the trailer

"Eat,, but don't touch anything else." And he follows CC.

CC says "what do you think?" she whispers "And notice, I am NOT saying we should adopt her or you take her under your wing and pouting about it. I think having seven grand kids has filled that niche"

"As I said, Dearest. Unless you wish to take her to Baroness Lundy."

"We could let her make contact with your old organization" CC says "Her chances of living might go up"

"Ihave a few names, old contacts, and little good will. Icould try, but nothing would be promised."

"Given her potential I think they would owe YOU" A sniff Then a sigh "Lundy though? Mmm one of my proudest moments"

A sly smile. "You were, and are, brilliant." Her William kisses her.

She returns the kiss "mmm " Then parts "Think the knock out will cause enough chaos or changes around here? Or will they wake up to tyranny as usual?"

"It depends on what they do with the time they have." he speaks of the people of the fief "All the right words were dropped in all the right ears."

"Oh...I see" She does not fuss, nor even look upset, "So this barony maybe free soon, well, freer. Yes. I wouldn't feel so bad leaving Rose in that. " She admits "What do you think is best? Lundy, or your old contacts? Or cutting her solo free and maybek eepin an eye on her"

"You realize she hasn't -asked- for help?"

A snort "You realize that she needs it"

"She hasn't asked." Stubbornly.

"And if she's proud she deserves to die either from a noble's wrath, or the despair of a commoner she shares glamour with, and then the formerly starving commoner realizes the only thing keeping him or her from taking it all is one scrawny boggan girl?"

"Proud? Foolish....." hhmph.

"Mmmphh back at you" She says "You know what I mean. "

"What then? Take her with us? Hardly a fast getaway and we are spending time we don't have as we speak."

"I just don't know if I'll sleep well with her dead or even geased and that gemstone wasted on top of it."

"We could take the gem. Less trouble than the girl." His tone is reasonable.

"Of course I thought about that, we could put that to work at the club easy" She says "The only down side is the girl still ends up in trouble AND... she equates us with the nobles beeing no better than them"

"What does it matter what she thinks of us?"

"Because she might be right if we just rob her and leave her to die because we gain"

"Hhmph." He scowls. A long pause. "You would have trouble sleeping?"

"I don't know, Samhain is near but even Unseelie I'm not heartless"

"Mmm, no one is perfect."

"Waily waily, waily.... " he mutters.

"Fine. Let us at least leave here. Not back to the Club, but a safe house. We can at least clean and feed her again. Drop in at Lundy's and/or see if any old contacts respond."

"Thank you" She says

"Hmph. First sign of trouble, out she goes." He marches back out.

The girl has passed out on the small sofa, exhausted

"I'll pack the food. Find her bedding of some sort and I'll carry her to the car."
