"Let's move." And off they go.

And off they go indeed. The false trail will be hard to find, but IF they find it, the sihe will go to the wroong location

and the real haven? Much cozier

Cozy is good.

"A trailer home?" the girl says "Isn't this where folks take meth and play banjos?"

"A high quality interior, an ugly exterior" CC says "Nobles don't like what they see as ugly, that's an advantage."

The older boggan opens the trailer door and holds it for them.

CC goes in

"Well, YOU aren't ugly" the girl says following cautiously

"In." He directs the little one.

"That's a different sort of advantage"CC tells her

And he follows, locking the door behind him.

"Don't touch anything." He warns the girl. "What is your name?"

the girl looks about then says "Rose"

There IS, by sure CHANCE, surely, a rose in a vase in sight

"Rose?" he sounds dubious.

"What's wrong with Rose?" The girl says

"Nothing, except I think it might not be your REAL name" CC observes and takes a smell of the rose on display

"Well, I don't know YOUR names" the girl says

"And nor will you until we know yours." firmly.

"Come girl, your name."

"Call me Girl Fawkes, for I will blow up their house of lies one day! Call me Payne, for I shall shove common sense down their monarchist throats. Call me..." But she's gotten worked up and loses other references

CC mouths where the girl can't see 'She is a ADORABLE'

"Rose it is then, for now." dryly. "You seem to have an agenda."

"If by agenda you mean helping people be free? I guess. It shouldn't be an agenda. it just.. just should be " 'Rose' says

"May I?" He asks CC to see and hold the stolen gem.

She hands it to him "Ken for yourself"

It's blazing all right. There must be like well, enough glamour to enchant 30 mortals in this!

He squints at it, then the girl "And what were you going to do with this?"

"Drain it, one by one, to the commoners left to starve, the ones denied the hold first."

"You were nearly caught."

"Well, HOW wwas I supposda know it was a circular patrol" A scowl

"By learning the system before you break it," CC says

"Indeed."

He sighs and looks at CC. "What do you want to do with her?"

"My first thought?" A look at the scrawny girl "Feed her. "

He scowls. "I suppose we could."

"I'm fine" 'Rose' says. Then her stomach rumbles

And she shoots a look at her own belly like it betrayed her

"You are a touch on the thin side."

A sigh. "Very well, very well......." there isn't much in the trailer, but some basics are available. He puts together a meal for her.

Pancakes are easy, and filling, particularly with a bit of bacon

For someone NOT hungry, Rose sure puts it away

He keeps it coming, although they're limited on bacon.

Eating seems to loosen her tongue "I'm still not sure why.." Chomp cover mouth wait wait chew chew...swallow ".. you helped me"
