"I'm sorry, I don't speak pooka" Gwen says to the odd mouse woman "And I didn't mean to offend"

"offend? Is thy blood spilled upon the ramparts, do I wear thy guts for garters?" Temerity , Dame of Bannerhouse Truthbranch, scoffs! "Thou would know by the carnage wasteful if you had truly offended me child!"

"Then, why are we doing?" the girl says confused and gripping her spear, "I dont' want to get in trouble with the baron."

"Sparing, sparing, Thane Pebble Dimples," Temerity corrects, "Sparring only leads to thy thrashing, not thy dismemberment. En guarde"

"I'm really really sorry I stepped on the tail" Gwen tries again.

"Words are wind, wind is slang for flatulence, there fore words are smellythings" Temerity says "Have at you!"

"HEY!" Gwen slashes back, stabbing back. "This isn't fair. You have practice gear, I have a real spear. I could hurt you..." And yet, she can't get a bead on her. Even with the practice gear, the pooka is too good. Deflecting her spear.

"Tis not fair, nay, but at times the she wolf must nip at the cub's hindquarters." Temerity says "Bah, girl, you fight to protect, this befits your diminutive status"

"there's a code of dagda, you're smaller and weaker than..." Gwen gets a swat in the nose from the practice blade. It doesn't HURT so much as sting, and it's very humiliating "i'm not allowed to attack those smaller and weaker than..' BAP on the nose again "Cut it out!"

"Find thy cheese, girl! " Temerity demands, "If one kisses the tush of the unjust, one will found their breath befouled for many years. Find your cheese and be made minty there by!"

"you're pissing me off!" Gwen warns, her eyes darkening. It's not that the blows are hurting. Her stone skin keeps that from happening. It's that this bitch is..

BAP BAP BOOP ..each time on the damn nose!

Gwen snarls and swings, not using the point but damn it, no longer holding back

It's still a mistmatch, Temerity is just too experienced, but now Gwen raw troll strength allows her to slam and strike harder than before! And the practice shield breaks on the second hit. Temerity no longer boops and baps the nose, striking instead at leg and thigh, then rolling between the legs of the giantess to thrust in the small of the back.

That said, Gwen proves very very hard to tire out! And she keeps missing, but she also isn't exhausting.

Temerity grins with little sharp teeth "Your cheese, at last!"

and then, with a smooth move, the knight disarms Gwen from her spear, it lands behind the pooka.

Gwen bristles but... looks impressed, "Damn, you're good."

"I may never know, for I am most chaste," Temerity says, then drops her weapon, practice or no, "And now we drink and talk of boys and perhaps tend to each other's hair as we gals do"

"I...what?" Gwen says to the older woman

"I wanted to see the color of your cheese" Dame Temerity says

"I have no idea what that means" Gwen says "But ..a drink sounds good"

Dame Temerity smiles. She's learned much. The newcomer is raw, very raw, and seeks to follow the troll code, but when her cheese is found (Hence the term, Cheesed off), her strength is revealed. Also, she is a bastion of endurance. She seems a goodly lass even now. And Sir Ivory may not need to worry as much as he feared. Silly Ivory, a goodly knight, quite skilled, but he fusses when somethings are simple. To know a person, one must test their cheese.

And off they go for drinks

Adam wanders around, curious. If he runs into Alanza, that would be welcome but it isn't necessary.

Nabuni waves "Later, Stevi"

"Hey." A grin. "Was that Stevi?"

"Yup. So many satyrs around here and IN the hold" Nab says pleased "How are you?"

"Good!" he leans in to kiss her. "I kinda dig Stevi."

"Did you see Zane while he was here?"

" I did. He showed me this rod, we talked about it. "

"Cool, did you recognize it??"

"Yeah... it and I have similiar magic" She laughs "Alanza would so kill him if she knew"

"I know you don't hurt people but.... it didn't hurt her, did it?"

"No no .. but it recorded her dream"

"That's.... not so good. Someone else could.... uh, dream her private dreams?"

"Oh no, it just plays them like a movie"

"Yeah, but someone else could see them." a frown.

He sighs. "Shit. Maybe we.... I.... should tell her."

"Zane's trying to figure out how to.. he said he would"

"Well.... I guess that's ok. But if I see her first....." Uncomfortable.

"Then tell her Zane wanted to talk to her" Nab says "Taht way you cover both" And she kisses him

He kisses her back. "Uh. I guess actually I should kinda look for her and talk to her anyway. I might not have exactly explained about you and I yet."

"oh oh dear" She sighs sadly "I keep getting in the way"

"No!!" he insists"You are -not- in the way."

"You need a REAL girl"

"So maybe it'll be Alanza. And maybe not. Maybe Stevi? There'll be -someone-."

"Yes, but if I get in the way ..." She says "Then... It's okay. "
