And Zane follows. It soon becomes obvious that the Eshu is a bit of a flirt with both guys

Adam doesn't seem to mind overmuch, but he does reach back to previous situations and comments that reinforce his (small) history with Alanza.

And that gets him 'ahead' though Zane counters by mentioning his wizard studies

Adam loyally talks up his friend's mastery of arcane knowledge.

And Zane speaks of some of Adam's past heroism ".... and that's how he worked with a fae hound to figght a linnorm "

The Eshu gapes at that "Truly? You're not just making that up?"

"No, he really did" Zane says

Adam shrugs and nods.

"Oak was a great partner."

"Is that how you learned you wanted to work with fae toucheed beasts?" She asks

"Well, Oak and Edie.... that's Oak's sister, she lives elsewhere now..... they showed me how great Fae animals can be. I guess I wanted to work with them here because..... well, it was work that was available for doing. I mean..... I needed to find something, right? And I know I like them and I can learn to take care of them, it's not hard."

"He really loves the hawks though. When we first saw? He was like top gun in his head with them"

Adam grins. "Guilty. They're amazing."

"Ha. I can see it yes. " She nods "they do have style"

Adam introduces the animals to Zane as they go.

And Zane gets to know them "I got a dog, but she's just a regular dog. Sunshine. Golden Retriever"

"How's she doin'? And your folks?"

"Oh she and mom go on walks and do yoga together" he grins then says "This COVID stuff is is rough on extroverts"

"Yeah, I am -so- glad I'm here if only because of that."

"Well, trolls CAN be a bit stoic." A pause "Except for Siv"

"Yeah."

"Lady Captain Siv Waveborne?" Alanza says "Oh you guys know her?"

"Yeah. She's still at Rivervale, Zane?"

"OH yeah... bounding around with a vengance, up to something.. I think trying to make up for lost time" He nods

"Oh I have got to visit Rivervale sometime" The Eshu says "I met Caspian DeBuke, he told me her story. Now that is like a real hero" She says with a bit of idolworship in her eyes

"Oh, I know Caspian." Adam recognizes. "And I bet Zane'd be glad to walk you around Rivervale if you wanted."

"And here I thought you guys might fight about me" A wink

Adam looks at Zane.

Zane says "Nope..sorry. I mean... I'll mock him a little...sure" A grin at Adam "But nah. You Adam?"

"Well, I could give you a punch, and take one, if you want? But, uh, nah. Zane's a good guy."

"No no, not over me " She says

"I'm.... not really the jealous type. You know?"

"Two mature guys who take turns flattering a girl? " She smiles "Not a bad find."

"We like to think so." He winks at her.

She laughs, "Come on, Zane. I'll show you the horses"

"Can I come too?"

"Of course! I'm not going to break up my flattery duo" the Eshu says "I'll have to tell you two the story of the moon who flirted with the maiden some day"

And they head to the stables

Adam offers Alanza his arm.

She takes it, and on the other side takes Zane's

The mortal seems pleased by this, and together they head out to the stables.

The three of them go out to see some of the horses are missing, but Zane grins at the tauntaun

Adam uses the dimmer switch to bring the lights up a bit. "Check it out. Nice digs; I mean, in a pinch, I'd stay here."

"Yeah, there's a Thane here that mostly takes care of that one. Looks like.....mmmm...... Looks like the Baroness might be riding. Baroness Coradel, that is." He sighs longingly.

"A sidhe is mentioned and I'm invisible again" Alanza jokes at the sigh

"Aw, Alanza, I didn't mean it like that. I'm sorry. I have a... a problem with sidhe."

"He's not alone" Zane says "But come on, I bet if the Baron came in tight pants..."

Alanza tunes out for a moment

Adam smirks.
