Adam, using his time during a break in training, makes a sojourn into the mortal realm. He returns with a bouquet of flowers, and takes them to his suite.

He straightens his look and knocks gently on his suitemate's door.

The door does not open, "Yeah?"

"I wanted to apologize for the other day. I didn't realize I had a suitemate. I would have knocked if I thought I did. I'm sorry."

"No big" A voice says

"Ok, well. Uh. I'll just leave this out here." He sets the flowers down against the door. "Would you rather I just leave you alone?"

The door opens.

The flowers fall in.

Adam steps back.

"Flowers? Geez man" A hand takes the flowers "YOu're kind of extravigant"

"Least I could do."

The nocker looks at him "Oh crap. I know you. You're the kinian ..Zane's friend"

Betty, she's here? He doesn't remmeber her well

Blink. "You're.... Betty?"

"Yeah. Betty. The forgotten one. Me and Timmy or whatever his name is "

"Timmy?" Puzzled, he shrugs. "Well... yeah, I'm Zane's friend. Adam." He offers his hand.

"We've met" She shakes the hand

"Why are you here? " She asks

Adam actually bows over her hand. Straightening, he says "I'm being mentored. As a Fiona, for now at least."

"You're joining Fiona? But you're kinian"

"Kinda. It's complicated."

"Damn.. well, I'm trying for Dougal myself. Hoping to work under Dame Agincourt. My god she knows EVERY THING about tearing anything down"

"Don't think I've met her yet."

"She's a boggan of House Dougal, a Master of Siege. Calvary might be King of the battlefield, but Siege is Queen, and you do not furking mess with the Queen"

"Well.... cool." Moderately impressed. "Been here long?" He leans his tall form against the doorframe.

"Me or her? Me not so much. Her, forever"

He nods. "I've been here.... a week? I think?" A frown. "I think....."

"Time in holds can be crazy, especially first week"

"Yeah. Oh! I should tell you, my chimera is here now too. Just in case you see her."

"The hot chick, devil wings and tail? Looks like a Deviant art guy glad to use a pen name drew her?"

Adam grins, nods. "That's Nab."

"yeah... I saw her. It's cool. if you guys bang too loud I'll put up a sound dampener"

"Hey, thanks." Adam seems to sincerely appreciate this enlightened attitude.

"Yeah yeah, It's a Fiona hold. I kind of braced myself for that."

"I know." a wistful sigh "Isn't it -amazing-?"

"Yeah, I'm here to work" She says

"All work and no play......" Adam grins.

"Avoids herpes?" She finishes

He laughs. "You can do that -and- play..... but, cool. Whatever blows your hair back."

"And hey, you ever need anything, you let me know, ok? Sweetie?" a cocky grin.

A finger stabs into his chest "Drop the Sweetie crap. I'm not your sweetie, I'm not a honey, or a darling, or anhything else. My name is Betty. " She glares

Adam dances back, laughing. "Roomie! Roommate... Suitemate.... Roomie, Sweetie? Ok, ok, ok...." he stays out of reach. "Betty. Betty is good." he holds up his hands, palms out.

"You're laughing at the woman who will be able to put a battering ram through your window. I am here to join House Dougal, you want to be a Fiona... you condescend to me for a 'haha' joke and I will take steps. Oh, here's your stinking flowers" She throws them at him, goes into her room and slams the door

He blinks, baffled. "What....?"

A sigh. "Right. No jokes." He picks up the flowers and bins them.

He runs his fingers through his hair and heads out for his next assignment.

Looks like it's a lesson in the language of flowers.

Irony is not in short supply
