"Do you think CJ will remember me if you went away and he only saw you as a puppy? When he was a puppy." He tries to ask, but he's too tired to make sense of it.

"I know, you don't remember her... but.. but if CJ went away, I'd still love him."

"She would" Gerd says

"He won't though." Connor insists, eyes drooping. "Because he's... ohana."

"You're ohana." Stubborn.

He gives her a sleepy grin. "I'm a dog AND a space alien..." And asleep. Very asleep.

Gerd kisses the top of his head and craddles his sleeping form

"also... cute.. n... fluffy...

"And cute and fluffy."

Most of the trip is quiet - soft radio, windows opened for air to keep awake...

Gerd says , after twenty minutes of relative silence "Thank you, Dagmar"

"Hey, like the kid said. Family."

"If only we were the family he wanted"

"I know. I wish."

"I did not like that chancellior" she says "Dont' trust her"
