"Thank you." Jessica leaves Ellie to meet the pixies, and seeks Constance.

Contstance is writing delicately on vellum

"Constance, hello."

"Oh, countess, hello" She rises "Did you need something written or copied?"

Ellie giggles quite a bit at the silly pixies.

She also flexes!

Ellie is too young to know about Hans and Franz from SNL... but surely these guys were born of dreams similiar.

"Thank you for your work on Beltaine, firstly. I was so sorry to have to ask it of your but...."

Specs does have glasses.

"Second, how do you feel about cats?"

"I understand and..." She blinks "Cats?"

"Yes. Do you care for them?"

"I'm not allergic. " she says

"I used to have a cat as a child" She says "She was pleasant company but that was a while back"

"Well, we have been, um, blessed, I suppose, with a mama and four babies. I was thinking the library might be a quiet spot to keep them for a while? Just while the mama is recovering?"

"Oh dear." She says "Is there no place more suited?"

"Where else is warm and quiet?"

"If they'll be an imposition, we'll find another place."

"There's only four babies."

"Well, let's try it short term I suppose. " She nods

"But if they become too great a trouble I will ask some place else be found"

"Maybe you could have a library cat."

Flex and Specs scoff... a TIGER maybe, that would be more manly!

"Well, one of the babies has tiger stripes."

"I can go get them, introduce you....."

"Bring them in, but I have no intention of getting attached" Constance says

Jessica nods and goes to get the dresser drawer.

Ellie tags along after!

"Ok, here we go....." She gently scoops up the drawer and carries it back, murmuring to Mama if needed.

"I bet Mama will be happier here, we'll protect her."

The mother actually bumps her head against Jessica when the troll gets in reach.

"Oh, well. Hello there." A skritch.

Constance peeks then "mmms. Well, hopefully they won't make too much trouble"

"Cats are very ladylike."

"Right now, all they will do is nurse and sleep. Mama will need to be fed but... Ellie, can you help with that?"

"Oh yes!"

"it'll give you time to study your Spanish text book too," the Scribe says to the younger Countess

"Also yes! I want to learn that very quickly."

"Mmm " Constance nods

"And Constance, if they are a problem, we'll make other arrangments."

"Thank you, your Excellency" Constance says

"Thank -you-."

"But me and Ariel and Salma, we'll make sure you don't have to do anything."

"I appreciate that, Eleanor" Constance says

Jessica peels the blanket back just a bit to reveal Mama, and four jelly beans.

"They appear healthy" Constance says calmly and without undue emotion Dawwwwwww look at the kitties

"Aren't they amazing?"

"They had a little bit of a rocky start, but I think they will do well here."
