Ariel HUGS the heck out of Salma

which may send flowers scattering again

A surprised bleat!

Diego blinks... "Adios for now" And he closes the door to go drink breakfast.. and make some calls

"Salma, you can make a princess coat of arms too! Or a knight, if you want, but then it'd be a shield..."

"Perhaps we can picnic on the beach? Make flower crowns and concha necklaces until the "hacerperos" show up."

A grin.

"I'm not s'posed to go out alone..."

"Ooo but we wouldn't be alone ..together?" Ariel points out

"...well, no..."

"You are not alone, princesca, you have your court in attendance."

"Is the beach far?"

Salma may or may not know that the TJ City area is roughly 246 square miles. She may or may not know exactly where they stand, but even if this hold is half way they might have trouble just walking to the beach.

She looks thoughtful. "We are in Tijuana, si? How far could it be?"

"Okay - do you want your pretty dress first?"

Her cheeks flush a dusty rose color. "For me?"

"Why else would there be three dresses?"

"More than three.. but the yellow one is SO pretty on you I bet come on" Ariel drags her off

To the closet to look

"Belle wears yellow, she's the smartest princess."

"Yep!"

"She has brown hair, not black..."

"Ay, brown and grey ears, they're my best feature though." She reaches out to lightly touch the fabric of the buttery yellow dress longingly. Though she is a plain lass, and falls into the wayside even more next to the sidhe's glow, she does have big brown eyes and ears that are grey and velvety in her thick black hair, which is not unattactive if you like ears...

"I like your eyes," Ariel says honestly "They're big and expressive... " And help isp rovided to button up Salma in her dress

"You are buttering me up like a buttercup." She laughs, but happily accepts.

And soon the three girls, dressed and ready, start to leave the hold...

and Dame Ash, the lady in charge of keeping at least one of them alive says "HEeeeeey...what's the plan girls?"

"We're going to the beach!"

"Yup! We know it's west!" Ariel says "We're going to get shells!"

A shy nod and a curtsy to the Dame.

"Whew.. I see. Did you bring food for the journey? Good running shoes?" The middle aged woman asks

She glances at her feet, and wiggles her toes. "Us burros have tough hooves?"

"I only ask, because, well, this is a huge city and ....I think you're about 55 miles or so from the beach." A pause "At least."

Ariel's eyes widen "Who put the ocean out THAT far?"

"Ay, dios! That is... not fair!"

Stimied! By distance!

"That... sounds far?"

A worried look over at Ariel, then back to the Dame, "Dama, please, there was a promise, we must find the conchas."

"It's an hour drive to.." A sigh "A promise huh?"

"Not quite pinky cross your heart but... " Ariel nods

A solemn nod, big brown eyes pleading.

"We could make flower crowns here... and Steward Diego said there'd be crayons..."

The Beaumayn says "I need to get the Freeholder's permission. Just a second okay? Do NOT go anywhere until I get back. Okay?" Dame Ash says

"We would zip off in two shakes of a lambs tail, but we only have goats and burros here, so we'll stay put."

"Well, we have Salma's flowers NOW..."

Practical. "And Salma knows how to make flower crowns..."

And out Ash goes...

"I've walked six miles before... no problem.. but that can take an hour for non satyrs..so that many more.. Beltaine might be over by the time we got back"
