Hours later, everyone wakes up. Much refreshed. There are showers, of course, and Frank may hear Vali singing cheerily despite his earlier rough nightmare.

Frank readies for another day on the road, gathers the others, thanks their host, and has them help with the 360 walk-around before climbing in and.... off they go!

Breakfast was provided, by coincidence, waffles

Dagmar insists on getting coffee, too, though hers is at least half creamer.

Frank -will- take a travel mug refill; Dagmar got her own travel mug for this trip, from him. Vali was assumed to be able to provide his own.

"Hey, hey, Frank, you ever hear that Convoy song?"

A deep chuckle. "Oh, yes. Played and sang it more than a few times, too."

Vali looks amused at the question.

"I think it's required studying at Trucker school isn't it?"

"Sang it? Yeah? Man, I don't think I've heard you sing..."

"I don't, much, anymore."

(Come to that, she hasn't hear him 'play' much either; he meant an instrument?)

"Why not? What instrument do you play? Maybe you could do something with Tove."

"I have." (He did.... a holiday, a while back; a Disney song about the ocean and wanting to reach the horizon. He plays the guitar.)

"Guitar man" Vali says

"I sing with her sometimes, and I'm not good at all." Brow furrow. "Wait, you sang for Siv once - you're good!"

"You should sing more."

"For personal amusement, mostly."

"Well, that's a good a reason as any to do it."

An agreeable grunt.

As they ride , Vali shares the map with her "You want to do the navigating?"

"Sure!"

"Hey, you ever hear the one about highwaymen?"

"I love that song," he nods "I was a highwayman, on the coach trails I did ride.... that one?"

"Yeah! There's parts to it, too..."

Tove might not realize it, but Dagmar has been absorbing music like a sponge - and hours on the road to share it. Joan Baez, Kenny Rogers, Peter, Paul & Mary, Kingston Trio, James Taylor... all with a "Have you heard of..." and a "Do you know..."

Vali isn't a music trivia wizard, so some? He has not

But he shares some of his own , and shares his play list of Weird Al.

Weird Al is NEW for Dagmar!

Oh she is in for a surreal treat, for Al has songs from his early 80s up to the new stuff

And yes, after about four or so of Weird Al's more famous songs... he switches on a lesser known "Truck Driving Song"

And watches Dagmar's reaction to that one in paritcular

Giggles.

Smothered ones, mostly.

"You want I can get you a copy of his play list for you "

Frank sighs quietly with a dry look at Vali.

"I use that as Frank's ringtone on my phone" he shares with Dagmar

"I bet he dislikes that..."

"I rarely call him when I'm standing where I can hear."

"Makes sense."

"hmm"

The drive continues on as they continue their trek to Memphis. Traffic is moving smoothly.

"Little light....."

"Everybody's holed up."

"I would guess" Vali says

(Trek to Memphis TN....?)

He looks at the map "This state is shaped line a sign post and we're heading to the butt end of it"
